horrible company/scam at its finest
horrible company/scam at its finest
My sister and I attened a MMI seminar a year back and bought their package of $5000. We decided to attend only 1 event. That event tried to sell us on $40,000 of education. What the heck? First thats insane and thats almost the amount of someones whole year of hard work. My sister and I couldnt attend seminars and decided to call and cancel our payments for the package. The lady on customer service line said she would cancel all payments associated with with account. That was pretty much it. The,. a year later I get a mail saying my late payments went into debt collection of $1,200. WHAT THE HELL? The lady guaranteed cancellation. I called the debt collection and they told me I had to call the company. I called the company and they said I had to call the debt collection incorporation. The customer service rep from Peaks Potential said that my sisters cancellation for my account didnt count because it was from third party even though I was with my sister on the phone when my sister was calling to cancel a year ago. However, at that time, the lady did not mention anything about third party cancelation pollicies. If she did, I would have called because I was on the phone with her right beside her at the time. Second, the customer rep I just spoke with said we were suppose to sign a cancellation form? No one said anything about signing forms? My customer service lady we spoke with a year ago said she would cancel and never mentioned anything about cancellation forms. My sister never received it either. So basically the lady from a year ago said everything is taken care of and a customer rep I just spoke with said it's not cancelled? Not to mention that I did not receive any monthly mails or anything notifying I owed $1,200. What the hell. THey didn't update me when I was owing. I cancelled and now they said it didn't count. They lied saying there was a cancellation form involved. They said I have to pay. My card never got pulled money from which is very weird and now I owe over a $1,000 out of nowhere with no type of notification. Unbelievable. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. i'M CONTACTING THE BBB about this scam. Then, the man from the debt collection said to pull up the email from a year ago on my sisters account for verification which she deleted because she no longer used that email which was meant for real estate. How do I get proof that is no longer there? I don't care. I want the collection to be resolved!
