the store manager at the pepboys in san diego named sam in clairmount was very rude to me and other customers and we will not buy from them again, he was very obnoxuous and in fact more interested to be on his cell phone, and in fact one of our co workers from a shop had his cell phone stolen on video by one of his drivers and this sam instead of firing him, kept him on, you would think the employee would be fired, but he kept this employee on, even after he told us the employee was fired, yet when we walked into the store the employee was there, several employees quit on account of his bad conduct, but he must be brown nosing someone to keep employed, also after going to the chula vista store for a part, I was told this manager had been involved about 20 years or more ago with a alledge loss of a trailer of autoparts by a person named roberto, so customers watch your items

badtreatment of employees

Not an employee, but I have little respect for Pep Boys after they SPAMMED my automotive board by soliciting VW brake products in unrelated discussion at our board. This activity is unwelcome and resulted in an instant ban by the admin. The offender used the name "pepboys" from IP 122.173.121.114 out of Chandigarh, India, promoting the Pep Boys product at www.pepboys.com. I am not 100% sure if pepboys is supporting this type of rogue advertising tactic, but logic would seem the user wasn't posting this SPAM for free, and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT BUSINESSES USING SPAM TACTICS TO SPREAD UNWANTED ADVERTISEMENTS! AVOID CLICKING ON LINKS LEADING TO COMPANY WEBSITES! THANKS.

No service

We went to Pep Boys for an air filter for our Infiniti, we bought the air filter and when we tried to install it, the air filter looks remarkably different than the one in the car. We went back twice to the store asking if it is the correct part as it looks wrong, told that is the correct filter. 2 Months later, car is running poorly and took it back to the dealer. Turns out the air filter is wrong and it has now destroyed 2 MAF sensors to the tune of $1650. Should have gone to the dealer for the air filter - would have been cheaper.

very bas employees treatment

The management of this company gives a raise to their buddies and relatives instead of people who really deserve it. No matter how long you are in the company, if some of their friends or relatives come, they get a raise immediately. It’s not an equal opportunities company at all! Don’t ever work for them and avoid at all costs!

stay away from this place, very rude and abusive service

I had my worst experience with this company! I had several problems with my vehicle and someone advised me to go to this place.
When I went there the guy Mario who spoke with me was extremely rude and behind my eyes called me b*tch and d*ck. OK, when he gave me a list of things which my car needed and I refused him to do it in one time he almost started to shout on me.
I don't want that something similar happens to anyone else because it's really awful and abusing. Stay away from this place!

overcharge

This company overcharged me up to $100. I had problems with y car and I called before coming and described my problem and asked approximately how much it would be. They told me that It would be $200 maybe $50 extra if replacing of broken detail will be very difficult.
Finally they charged me $350 without any explanation. I am really unsatisfied with this kind of service and wouldn't recommend this service to anyone!

poor and ugly service

well I will never go there again! Very rude and unprofessional people are working there, poor service, they make customers feel unwanted! Their manager does nothing about this, so people pay money and can't even get what they paid for in a right and pleasant way! Avoid this company!

Did not fix the car and lied about it

They did not give me a receipt after I paid for a broken bolt. They were suppose to fix it, but later I found out they didn’t. and I had to go back to them, and they denied that it was their fault.
Always ask for a receipt!

pure scam!

Unreliable service! I took my car there to check the transmission and when I got it back I found that the signal light didn't work. Claimed for a repair under the warranty but they refused me saying that it is not their problem. Beware and better stay away from these scammers!

don't honor their warranty

I will never recommend this fraudulent car dealer to anyone! I used their services once, I bought a car from them and it supposed to have a warranty and when I arrived for an oil change they charged me for it and refused to provide this service under their warranty. It was done without any reason and they never explained that to me. Beware and better stay away.
