Tetracycline staining of the teeth
I was prescribed tetracycline by an E.R. doc for getting a tick borne illness called ehrlichiosis. It is several years later and I have a rare disease called pseudo-tumor cerebri which my neuro-opthamologist said is what gave it to me. I have had over 15 shunt surgeries/ placements/ revisions and will have to do so for the rest of my life. This has affected every aspect of my family life. I am partially blind and have severe headaches with nausea and vomiting. They have known since before I was born that this medicine caused this rare disease. Why then are the doctors prescribing this drug along with all of the other known and well documented side effects? What about the oath that all doctors take when they become doctors?? Does it mean nothing??

My mom was given tetracycline which resulted in my teeth being permantily stained. I'm not sure why there isn't a lawsuit for those whose teeth were ruined. I was born in 1966.

I also know the embarrassment of living with ugly teeth I was prescribed both tetracycline and accutane. would give anything to have white teeth. There should be a lawsuit.

I also know the embarrassment of having ugly teeth. i was prescribed both tetracycline and accutane. I am 45 and still single.Most find me attractive aside from my teeth.There should be some compensation.

All my life I have lived w/out a smile. That says it all! I hate my teeth. Growing up was so painful, I was constantly made fun of, told to go brush your teeth. It was horrible. I would love to be part of a class action suit. I have dreamed all my life of having a beautiful white smile but, can't afford it. I'm going to try to go to a lawyer.
Anyone with me.

Pfizer tetracycline stained teeth Boycott
Pfizer doesn't care how bad your teeth are stained from tetracycline. I have contacted them about this. without any Justice.
Remember Pfizer is a Multi Billion Dollar Business, If they would agree to fix all the Stained Teeth from tetracycline it wouldn't put a dent into there Billions.
But ''THEY DO NOT CARE''. They do however care about your Doctor giving you Medication that is made by them to help bring in more Billions..
I suggest that before your Doctor gives you a new Medication, Find out if it's a Drug from Pfizer, If so refuse it. Tell your Doctor you will never ever take a Medication from Pfizer and ask for one similar from a different maker. No matter who he says the maker is, search the internet to make sure it's not from Pfizer before getting it filled.
Boycott Pfizer at all cost. Also start a Complaint asking Pfizer to fix our stained teeth. on this site. http://www.change.org

Living in shame!
My name is Dana M. Scruggs I was born in 1958 and was given tetracycline. It stained my teeth a dark yellow I have no memory of white teeth because both my baby teeth and my adult teeth.
I was always a loner as a child because the other kids made fun of my dark yellow teeth. I always covered my mouth so that no one could see my teeth. I avoided photographs of myself because of this. I seldom dated as a teen and young adult. It felt better to isolate, as opposed to going out with friends. I never married, and I gave up on dating a long time ago!
Pfizer is the sole reason for my dark yellow teeth!
Pfizer? You ruined my life!!!!
It is time for Pfizer to pay restitution to myself and anyone else who has tetracycline stained teeth!
SHAME ON YOU PFIZER!!!!

Hate smiling for 37 years
My mother was given this medication when she was pregnant with me and it caused my teeth to all have a brown stain on my adult teeth. The worst of it being on my front teeth. Do you know what its like to have people and children come up to you and ask you why your teeth are groose? Or you so embarrassed to smile at anyone or take photos with people because of this. All of my school pictures were ruined because my smile was so bad I hated to even try. Thank you for ruining my life for the last 37 years. If I could get my teeth fixed I would but I don't have $20,000 lying around. Or if there was someone out there who could fix them probono. I would greatly appreciate it.

Life without a smile
Since my childhood I have never known a decent smile. Tetracycline was given to me as a child in the mid 60's. I have lived with stained ugly teeth along with multiple cavities my entire life. I have never had the opportunity to to afford veneers or implants etc.
I find myself now at age 57 realizing how I've missed out on smiling . The embarrassment of my stained an missing teeth were contributed to a medication given to me as a child when the drug company had knowledge of these side affects, yet continued without regard to allow tetracycline to be used on children.
People look at me an if I accidentally smile they are disgusted by my teeth. They automatically think I'm less than a person. I have even been on a first date an the guy literally was so creeped out about my smile that I didn't hear from him for weeks . when I questioned him what it was about me that he didn't like he stated it was my teeth. Wow. That hit me hard. I then realized how many other people see me and think the same?
I want my smile that I was robbed of as a child and adult.
Is there anyone out there that can help???

Tetracycline destroyed my teeth in 1965 as a kid. How there isnt a class action suit against this company is beyond me. Maybe ill start one since I have the time now.

Pfizer must pay
Tetracycline destroyed the color of my teeth starting in 1965 to 1970 when I was given that god awful drug. I think its time a class action suit is started. I know there are thousands upon thousands of us babyboomers born from 1958 to 1970 who need justice from the harm this drug caused us. Ive got the time now so its time to get this started.
