Total Scam
I booked 2 hotels in Marrakech through Prestigia ( one for my parents 70th Birthday and one fr me and my daughters ). We arrived at the hotel after 10pm on the check in day, I gave the guy on reception the hotel voucher he gave me the bill. I gave him a credit card and I received a payment stub. only when I got home and checked I had been charged more than what the voucher said.
S I contacted Prestigia, what a complete farce and run around. When they could be bothered to answer the different responses to the reason the figures were different, it went from, you have been charged the correct amount, it looks like you have had extras ( I paid before I got the room key ), has the bank charged more, I contacted the hotel and they said I had contacted them directly and agreed to pay less and by cash ( despite sending my receipt to them ) then the exchange rate was thrown in to the mix. I explained that I am English booked on an website ( trivago ) and our local currency is GBP. it states that the hotel charge in their local currency which in this case is MAD ( Moroccan dirham ). I explained all this and was still fobbed off about the exchange rate, even though I sent a full page of workings out to explain the over charge and I even told them the exchange rate from MAD to GBP we were getting at the time. Then they blamed the GBP losing to the euro- who gives a .... I am English paying from my local currency GBP to the hotels local currency MAD. How hard is it to work out its a complete scam, Prestigia are despicable and thieves in my opinion. This only happened at my hotel thankfully the other hotel my parents were in just took what they should of.
I have tried and without any joy, it seems reading this forum, that they are just out to scam and rob people
Should be ashamed

Consumer reviews about Prestigia.com
Dear customer,
We are sorry for any inconvenience you might have faced during your booking process.
As mentioned in our e-mails, kindly note that the exchange rate on the period you have booked (in May 2016), reflected a specific amount of 265.6 £ (see Voucher). However, the hotel only charged you upon your arrival in October. Meanwhile with the Brexit vote, the Pound was highly devaluated, which explains the difference with the final amount.
Moreover, the hotel charges in its local currency, the GBP amount is given as a reference as per mentioned in the reservation process before finalizing the reservation.
We hope that this explanation clarifies the situation.
Best regards.
