As far as the service that they provided, well I have to add I've been working with this company for 3 yrs now, I was going thru GTL directly they were chargind 13 dllrs per call that was way too much, so Prisonlines by givin me a local number does give me savings, now I just pay at the most 4 dllrs so I must add I am a satisfied customer with prisonlines, I guess it depends for every case but for people like me that we live hella far from the facility it does hes us a big savings in our pockets

And also I constantly checkin my account and no problem, and well for the bad comments that you're adding here you are ruining it for people like us that we really are saving with this company believe me GTL or securus will scamm you worse then any other provider out there I hope people that are spending alot do find a good option like I found it AND DON'T HATE with bad attitute like the one u guys are posting here damn I dont want to imagine over the phone wouldnt want to be a rep at prisonlines lol ...

Telephone calls from prison is a courtesy not a right and if there was any real justice in the world criminals would have no contact with the outside world. They also would not be living on the tax payers dime. How about YOU, the family, pay for their upkeep for a change?

@whythelongfaces hey dips*** if you haven't noticed loved ones are paying for inmate upkeep. We pay for their commissary, phone lines, and anything they need. And yes it is also coming out of OUR taxes too!!! So think before you start opening that ignorant mouth of yours!!

Why wouldn't I spend my hard earned money on my loved one? Its the samething as paying college for a child and he or she goes and spends it on partying. and really you actually think you pay more than what I pay for? Ha don't make me laugh! So please show me the reciepts of what your paying please!! And no I won't complain to my loved one (not criminal) not everyone in there is a criminal!! Cuz if they were then everyone who gets a ticket is a criminal too then since they broke the law too. Seriously its dipshits like you why American is at a downfall. How bout you complain to your government for charging you huh?

no my husband isnt innocent and he is not a criminal. just there for traffic tickets if you must know. mine is in jail. but i know people who are in prison and no they arent innocent either yes they broke the law but that doesnt mean everyone should condemn them to a life without having a loved one around. and yes college maybe a choice for some but not for all. just like those criminals who chose to break the law. and even if i didnt know anyone in prison or jail, i wouls still feel the same about this. you complain about criminals living off your tax dollars why dont you complain about the real people living off your tax dollars like all these females that just have all these kids to get section 8, foodstamps, and all these government funded programs. they are the ones getting all your tax dollars!! do you even know that most prisons actually have their prisoners grow their own food, have them wash their own clothes, fix whatever is wrong in the prison and many other things. They arent taking your precious 2 cents they take of your tax dollars. and with that i say get a life and a better paying job maybe one day i'll go apply for section 8 and i gonna need your money lmao. im done replied to your ignorant ass. bye. adios!

unauthorized billing
Bought unlimited calling plan on May 24, 2013 through this company so I could accept calls from my son who was in jail at the time. The cost was $50.00 which was billed to my debit card. This was suppose to work in conjunction with the jail's call provider (Securus). It does not. When I purchased this I was told I would receive a pin number to use to access my account. That never happened. When I called Securus, they told me that they didn't deal with Get Connected Telephone Services. That was when I immediately called Get Connected Telephone Services and told them I wasn't given a pin number and wasn't able to use their services, therefore, I didn't want my debit card billed. The lady on the other end told me that she would cancel everything and credit the cost back to my debit card seeing as tho it was just a few minutes after purchasing the calling plan. They billed my card on May 27th knowing it was already cancelled. They now tell me that the unlimited plan doesn't qualify for a refund. Not only that, they also billed me another $34.98 that was never authorized period by me. I don't even know what that charge would've been for. I've had to "hot list" my debit card because I'm afraid there could be reoccurring charges every month applied to it. It would have been one thing if I chose not to use their services, but that's not the case. I wasn't able to use it. The fact that they billed another unauthorized charge of $34.98 to my card proves to me that they are deceptive. I have e-mailed them in good faith explaining all this and haven't gotten a response. I have called them several times only to have them hang up on me or simply not answer the phone. They had no problem taking my money, I don't see why they should have a problem refunding it back since there was no services rendered. I am asking for a full refund of $84.98.

I have payed what you wanted me too.I was looking for a phone co. for my son to be able to call home.I did all the paper work on line payed and have not heard anything from anyone. What happened?

fraud,un authorized debits
signed up for service, never received a call upon canceling acct. they unauthorized two payments of 75 dollars equal 150 bucks out my debit. never refunded, you call 3 different numbers 866-205-6419 888-286-6115 888-816-1652 1800-700-7834 all these numbers nobody answers if they do they hang up on you or put you on hold then hang up. number are in California also Tennesse it is crazy,i want my money back.their web site should be shut-down ..they also have 3 different email address. please help. thank you debra ramirez

fraud - unauthorized charge
I also signed up for service, never received a call, so I wanted to cancel the account. Called 1-888-286-6115 & 1-888-816-1652 both numbers rang for a long period of time then leave a message occurred. Left numerious messages and no one ever called back. Emailed their customer care and not response. Unable to access account on line to cancel because you need a password which you have to call their cusotmer care line to get. Finally emailed the person who emailed me the first payment information and amazing he emailed me right back and stated ok your account is cancelled. At this point is did not believe it so I asked for a password to verify, He stated I needed to contact customer care (which no one ever answers). After numerious emails back and forth, then he stated "don't you trust me", I realized how fraudulant the company was. About an hour later a new charge came thru for $75 which was not authorized. I have contact me credit charge company to closed the account plus disputed the charge.

Having many of the same issues with these thieves that everyone on here has. Been trying to reach them for a month. Today I sent a sharply worded cancellation email that they actually responded to! This is the following series of emails:
You did not unblock the inmate calls, inmate called you but the facility disconnected your calls:
Me-When I tried contacting you with this problem initially, don't you think this might have been a better approach than ignoring me? If you had, I wouldn't be cancelling the account.
Cancel my account.
Today was the 1st time you contact us ( tech department)
Me-Tried contacting you REPEATEDLY through your 2 service dept. numbers.
Tried does not mean you did contact us.
Me-lol No shit asshole! Because your fucking Techs only answered the phone once and NEVER returned the messages I left! Save your time trying to pass the blame, just cancel the account and piss off.
We will report you to your local police for harassment. Director
