Seems to be a swindle
You are right on the money man, pureplay is a scam and I have proof. You shouldn't bother with it, unless you just wanna kill time playing a game that IS for a fact a scam. Check this out - I've been playing poker at pureplay for about a month, noticed that pocket KK and AA almost always lost, since I always check the info on all the players at my table I also noticed that when they did hold up, it was literally always a paying member at pureplay who had them. So I figured it was a scam and started recording absolutely everything, pot sizes, stack sizes, pot odds, member or basic player, good or bad players, every hand of the other players that I got to see at the table, players betting patterns, etc.
I saw one hand for example where I folded, the person right beside me raised with pocket 10's, the person right beside him went all in with AJ, right beside him the next guy calls with AQ, and then right beside him the next guy calls with AK. What are the odds of that happening in real poker, all hands right beside each other 10's, AJ, AQ, AK, and it was a paying member that won with AK.
I contacted them and told them that their site was a scam and that I would never pay them $1 for a lifetime membership, they e-mailed me back giving me 5000 play chips for free, so I go in play that game, get pocket AA after a while, I tell the other two to call me because I have bullets and pureplay won't allow AA's or KK's to hold, so they folded, 2 hands later I get pocket KK's, tell the other two to call me cause I have KK's, get called because he had hit a 10 with a 6 kicker, next card 6. I go from big stack to now being even with the other two, literally 2 hands later I get them again, the other player raises, so I tell him go ahead I've got KK's again I'll double you, he calls with A6, A is on flop. Went from pretty much having the game won to going out on the bubble (this is immediately after
e-mailing them, saying I'm not paying) pretty fishy. These are just a few examples, I could go on and on and on some more.
PUREPLAY IS MOST DEFINITELY A SCAM

Seems to be a swindle
I agree with all that I have heard pureplay is a scam I never win when I'm dealt pocket Ace's or KK its a true scam everytime I'm about to win a pot I get beat on the river I mean it happened to me 7 times in a row now thats not even realistic to get beat on the river 7 hands in a row and then they have the free chip scam they want you to fill out surveys and auto-quotes for free chips and you never get em all they do is start sending a bunch of junk mail somebody should do something about this scam.

Seems to be a swindle
only payed for one month at Pureplay about three years ago. 1st month I won a free year Second month I won a free year, before the first year was up I won a Lifetime membership took second in a weekly 5000. have won over 1200 dollers plus the membership. have had my AA and KK busted but have won with them a lot to. Ive found the best play for me at PP, is to play texas Fold em. If you have good cards and you get put all in by a begining donk . your best bet is to fold to the donks they are vary lucky. To win at PP you have to make your way thru the beggining Donks. If you can get there thats when the real game starts against good players that understand poker and dont make to many donkey calls. I never get contacted by them but thats OK . PP a Scam IM not so sure, All I know is my experence with them I play every day and Im still winning my share. I dont Know, , alls I can say is PPs... sure been good to me...
