Unauthorized charges 19.95
Same as backgroundfee.com
Like the others on this site. In December I purchased a report for $1.00 and was charged 19.95. I was charged $19.95 again on 1/22/2013. In December after the first charge I called the 800 number and was told I would get a refund. As of today’s date I have yet to receive the refund. When the new charge came in yesterday I had a live chat with 2 people. By the way, their responses are totally scripted and queued by certain words. I doubt I was "chatting" with a real person. I reported that I did not agree to the 19.95 fee, nor could I find it in the fine print on the site where I agreed to these terms. When I asked the customer service rep. where I could find this information on line, they gave me a serious run around and were unable to answer my question. I was told by 2 separate on-line reps. and 1 rep. at the 1-800-699-4264 number that I was to receive a refund and cancel my account. I need to wait 10 days for the refund. This is a total scam... You can’t cancel the service on line?? I too like others was told to contact [email protected]. I will be reporting these scumbags to any agency I can.
