Last month I thought I booked reservations at the Travelodge.com site. Wrong, it was reservation counter. How i found out is because the next morning as I was reviewing my travel reservations for our trip in August I realized I had made an error. So, I called them to see if I could fix it. Here's what transpired:
I had booked 2 rooms for 1 night and what I wanted was 1 room for 2 nights. I was advised that they have a no cancellation policy, which was stated at the time I booked the rooms. Yes, I recall reading something to that effect,( But like most reservations when you book 2 months out it ususally means by a certain time, Nope) Ok, so I asked well the cost is the same if I change it to 1 room for 2 nights can we just change it. No, because they have to cancel the first one and reserve it again. .
I would have understood not being able to cancel the reservation totally but to just change it?
Be careful when making reservations online - WATCH OUT FOR RESERVATION COUNTER. They are a scam ..........
