HAVE GONE BANKRUPT

Rijo42 went bankrupt on 22nd June 2012. See Manchester Crown Court case no 2767 from 2012. However they are still trading ! Total con men. I have seen a different post saying that Bolton Arena were very happy with them. I have spoken to Bolton Aena who say they are desperate to get rid of them. Lots of bad publicity on the internet if you look for it. Dont trade with these con artists

Rijo 42 LTD.

I purchased a Rijo 42 coffee machine for my business a couple of years ago and have regretted it ever since. For a start, the contract was loaded with hidden charges (admin fees, insurance fees, service fees) so I ended up having to pay over 25% more than I was originally quoted. Supplies and accessories are hugely overpriced - literally double what you'd pay for the same items anywhere else. Service and repair costs are equally extortionate: £140+VAT minimum call-out charge. The 'Full Five Year Warranty' I was promised turned out to last only 12 months and the machine broke down after 13 months! The company went into administration (not for the first time) in 2012 but are continuing to trade. I know of several other people and businesses that have had bad experiences with Rijo 42. I would advise anyone to avoid them like the plague.

We enquired about a Rijo Coffee machine. Out came a rep. Jamie Casells. he explained and told us about the machine took the order. All very convincing. on signing for the machine they took the next day £741.00 out of my bank I made them return the money. The next a hire agreement came for us to sign., we wanted to purchase the machine. No information given just the finance agreement with 1PM a finance company we were not given time to find better finance elsewhere we ended up paying out over £12000.00 for this machine. We went to court and lost the case. The hire agreement very tight. We were ripped off by Rijo 42 We even had to pay an extra £1.75 a month plus £25.00 all plus vat Rijo agreed to give me the extra charge bavk and I had to keep claiming it back. What was it for 1PM decided that they wanted extra money because we had not been trading. We were a new Café so they used the previous owners name that had gone bankrupt. We were ripped off by Rijo. We have sent goods back by recorded delivery and are still waiting for credit note they keep sending a statement saying that we owe them £83.00 when it is them that owes us money. Can we go to trading standards to try and get some of our money back they got this money under false pretences Just be warned it is a rip off by con merchants

I too have been told a pack of lies and conned by this company . I was told we were taking out a three year contract when in actual fact it was five years . I trusted the sales man as he was a friend of a friend . I only found out it was a five year contract on contacting the finance company . Stupidly I didn't work out the payments as I assumed after telling a sales man there's no way we would take out a five year contract as we didn't know the future of our company . I have reported them to trading standards and the ombudsman . Rijo have never answered my letters or contacted me regarding the issues ( breach of contract ) miss selling ect . They are rip off merchants . I wonder if we all could get in contact with each other and hopefully get this company investigated .

Ex Employee - Helpful Info

As an ex employee I agree with the complaints above and I would like to say you can get the same coffee machines a lot cheaper. The sales guys are rewarded more money the higher the price.

What ever you are quoted by the sales rep take £2000 off that price and that should be the price you pay and if they wont budge walk away from the offer as other companies will do a deal for a lot lower price for the same machine.

I was treated not well at all and this is because I was not prepared to rip customers off which meant not selling a lot of machines.

Its always good to share information about a rouge company.

Bought a top of range cimbali azteca from rijo via hire purchase agreement some 3yrs plus ago with what we were told was a 5yr service warranty costing 335plus vat a month .We were continually let down on delivery of coffee beans and so changed supplier
they now refuse to service the machine as they use to but will come out for 230plus vat plus parts and labour .Machine a good work horse for the cafe Rijo 42 poor at best don't trust them .

3 grinders ( the Swiss one the salesman says they never break
2 screens
3 whipping motors
1 wiring harnesses
The engineers just slag each other of and say way he changed the sendings

what a con we have a brasila machine in a 3 year lease, we purchased a service agreement at the time of ordering the machine, they refuse to come out and fix the machine because i wont buy thier overpriced ingrediants.

this machine will be costing me almost 10k over the three years, when you try and talk to Rijo 42 they are so vague its unreal, i have now taken this to trading standards, i know this will be a very long drawn out process and we will probably still be arguing after thelease expires next august.

my advice is steer clear of these sharks !!!!
