danmaged items, no compensation
Hi engaged with RSS and was sold by the friendliness of the agent.
I received good advice, while the process was a little bit rocky to get professionally formatted quote.
things got wrong in two occasion. the packing crew showed up 2 hours late ( no excuse) and not the best movers ever, but overall went ok.
my complain is actually around a key topic : damaged items which is obviously everyone's stress. I was told the very container that was loaded at my place would be deliver as is to my new home overseas, ( unless customs decide to open/search - but you should be notified). in fact everything that was carefully stored into the container under my supervision got randomly transferred into a truck, resulting in damaging few items. the dollar value is not big, but it was reported ( took pictures) and filed that these items were damaged.
I took an insurance : so pay attention as the insurance work only if the entire container get lost. if they break 50% of what's inside you are screwed !
RSS first told me that it is the local partner responsibility and that they rejected the claim. then that they won't compensate the damages that was done. I did contract with them. given the small amount ( less than 100 dollar) it is shocking that they don't have their own insurance and despite the nice " customer first" sentences they ignore customer service and their fault in damaging items.
I would recommend you not to work with this company as if anything occurs, you will be left on your own.
