took my deposit but never finished their services
I hired this company to fix the cooling system in my house. Everything seemed to be OK, I liked their representative and all offers, but later I regret about the deal with them. This company took my deposit but never finished their work and just disappeared. They stopped to reply on my calls and emails so I had to find another company to finish everything. I will never recommend Sears Home Pro to anyone after that.

Refusal to provide promised gift card
This is a copy of an email I sent to Mr. Ray Hackett, 'Jerry Hanosh and Eli Gibbons on May 28, 2013 1:49 PM reference job #15091393
Good morning Mr. Hackett. We have for a couple of weeks now attempted on several occasions to have Mr. John Kelly call us back and have been unsuccessful so far in getting a return call from him.
This is very disappointing for us especially considering the initial problems we had in Sears charging us more than what Mr. Kelly quoted us during his home visit with us. Coupled with the cancellation and delays in getting the work started and then getting the 2 wrong size small door faces that had to be installed several weeks after the rest of the job was completed.
The only highlight in this entire situation was the attitude and quality of the work provided by the installer Ezeklel Lopez. He really represented Sears in a good light. Unfortunately Mr. Kelly stressed on several occasions that he would be there for us after the sale, but it appears to not be the case since we have not received a return telephone call to the messages left for him.
In the original sales agreement we were promised a $250.00 gift card from Sears that has never materialized. The job has been completed for over a month now and I hope this doesn’t mean that Sears HomePro has no interest in us any longer.
Then when I hadn't received any type of reply by June12, 2013, I sent this email to Mr. Eli Gibbons;
Good Morning Mr. Gibbons. I was very pleased to receive your prompt response on May 28, 2013 to my email.
I continue to be very displeased with the response from Sears. Do you know that not one single person or even an automated system has contacted us since you sent us your email on 5-28-13?
I don’t know who you sent your inquiry to but it resulted in absolutely nothing being done, at least nothing that we have been made aware of. Is this really the “aftercare service” Sears Home Pro provides once the job is completed. If so it is a shame that Sears has chosen to hire slick, personable people to sell your product just so after-the-fact Sears can act like all the other unscrupulous contractors your salesman talks poorly about.
We have chosen to keep our frustration and dissatisfaction with Sears Home Pro within the confines of your authority and/or the other people in Sears Home Pro Management that can resolve our situation. However if we are just going to be dismissed or ignored we are very willing to take our situation into the public media where I’m sure we can cause Sears Home Pro to lose much more money in potential revenue than what we are concerned about.
Does it concern you that your people have chosen to ignore any directions you may have given them regarding my situation? It certainly doesn’t speak well for the Sears Home Pro management.

Poor disclosure of payment procedures
This pass week my husband and I met with a sales consultant from Sears for new countertops. We agree to the terms and paid the deposit with our debit card. To our surprise the total amount of the job was deducted from our account. We did attempt to contact Sears for an explanation. We did not receive a satisfactory explanation and therefore cancelled the contract. We notified Sears of cancelation via email. I have attempted to find a cancelation notice which the service manager indicated was in my packet. It is not and I have been unable to sign on to http://documents.searshomepro.com to access a cancelation notice.
I have been a long standing customer with Sears, but this negative experience ends my relationship.

heater/ac replacement
Sears sold us a complete ac/heater change out.The unit works well, but some of the vents have little or no air flow. We had a estimate from another contractor..which included replacement of ducts. We got a matching deal from Sears but the salesman said the old ducts were good..that does not seem to be the case.The unit seems to work overtime..has even blown a circuit breaker. All we want is a trouble free system that will work well and save money.
