What a Scam
Shoppers Drug Mart - Webber Greens Edmonton Alberta
Two days ago I purchased a ladies Halloween costume and a pair of Halloween gloves. I opened the costume bag only to find the one size fits all would NOT actually fit a full grown lady. Not able to wear this item I packed it up to return. I returned the evening of November 1st to be told that it is a SEASONAL item and they would not be able to refund these two items. I was shocked to hear that this was NOT stated anywhere on the receipt, in the store or by the sales clerk when I purchased these items. I then asked for the manager and she stated that they are seasonal items and they are not refundable. As I was phoning Shoppers Drug Mart customer service another cashier came and said that the store manger would be glad to return them for the sale price they were today. At this time I was curious as to who this manager was since it was not who I was directed to initially. When I approached the STORE MANAGER, Rena I was told that they were seasonal and not able to do anything else but to refund me the sale price. I am a loyal customer of Shoppers Drug Mart and was thoroughly disappointed with her demeanor and overall negative attitude as a store manager. I had told her that I have no problem taking my business else where if that how a customer is treated. Her response...Well I heard how you treated our staff and it probably would be for the best. If that is how Shoppers Drug Mart trains their Managers and finds that response acceptable, I would gladly take my business else where. As of tonight, I have transferred to a new pharmacy and will not be going to any other Shoppers. Life is too short to be dealing with such rude and insensitive individuals.

shoppers drug mart
On the morning of Tuesday Dec.12/17 I went shoppers drug mart 278 lacewood dr. Halifax nova scotia to have. a prescription refilled. I told them I would pick it up at 7pm I went back the same day at 7pm.Iwas told it was to soon for a refill. I accept that explanation. This shoppers has all my records on file including my phone number.I am sure that a simple phone call to tell me this I information but I guess that would be asking to much. The service at this pharmacy is deplorable even when they are not busy. There can be as many as five staff behind the counter and you still have to wait. The usual excuse is I am on the computer at this time so in other words they are telling me I have to wait. This evening is a very stormy windy rainy night but a simple telephone call notifying me about the refill would have saved me a wasted trip in bad weather. NOT GOOD.

Rip Off pricing
I was at the 404 Plaza location in Newmarket at 6 PM today. I bought 15 cans of PC pet food for dogs. The sale price is 3 cans for $5.00.
The total on my bill for the 15 cans totalled $30.14.
By my calculations of 15 @ 3 for $5.00 would total $25.00.
Simple solution is to drive back to the store and carry in all the items I purchased and argue for a refund.
Simple? NOT really. Who pays for my time? Who pays for my effort?
In the end, I will pay more for the dog food at Shoppers Drug Mart than if I went to No Frills and bought it at the regular price.
And to top it all off?
I had gone back in the store and was going to buy 12 more cans. That bill was going to be around $32.00. I questioned it and the cashier looked at me and said they were on sale. Yeah, right. At a 50% mark up.
This store gets a big fat zero.

narcotics
NARCOTICS
I have been taking narcotics for years, hydromorph-contin 24mg i get the same meds every month the same dosage.
The last few months have been a nightmare to say the least, from meds not being there when i call in and confirm, then drive 20 miles into shoppers to find out they not there. They always have one excuse or another most times blaming my DR so then i go see my DR and rip a strip off of him. Then come to find out that its shoppers screw up not my DR, then the next month same thing oh we faxed your DR no reply i give my DR proper heck ( i am refraining my language ) then find out its shoppers again screwing up.
Then the crap hits the fan once again i go to get my meds i had checked in the day before yep no problem shoppers said to me.
I go in to get my meds on fri of course they are in a bag stapled shut i assume i have the proper meds and quantities (hahaha)
that was a joke. I get home and find out im short over half my hydromorph 24mg by now im pissed back to shoppers i give them a blas. So they fix the problem so they say i get to truck i count the pills im still short 4 pills , thats 2 day meds, so now im beyond pissed i gave them proper hell the whole store would have heard me, and this is the PHARMASIST i am dealing with. So she puts 4 pills in the bottle .
FIRST OF ALL SHE DID NOT COUNT THE PILLS IN THE BOTTLE TO START WITH I WAS SHORT 32 PILLS, THEN WHEN I WENT BACK IN STORE SHE NEVER COUNTED THEM AGAIN.
In reality i could have told her any number and she would have given me the meds, so where all the pills were is beyond me would think someone would have to account for them.
I dont know what should have taken place but when on the bottle it states take 2 pills per day for 28 days someone should be checking these scripts to see that the number on the bottle is same as the script.
I AM SO PISSED AT SHOPPERS THEY HAVE MADE THOUSANDS IF NOT HUNDRED OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OFF OF ME IN THE LAST 30 SOME YRS, AND THIS IS THE WAY THEY RUN THIS PHARMACY.
It cost me money for every screw up they make to run back and forth to get my meds for their mistakes, i could go on and on but that would not get me anywhere.

Prescription Question
Yesterday my wife completed a course of Radiation at Juravinski Cancer Hospital in Hamilton, and the radiologist technician recommended she see the resident nurse as she had a chesty cough, she actually saw a nurse practitioner who took some blood and ant her for an X-ray.
It turned out she had pneumonia, and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic, on our way home I called into the Shoppers Drug mart at Harvard Sq on Mohawk Road, Hamilton, on presenting the prescription, the lady in the pharmacy informed me that they were out of stock, and the antibiotic was on back order.
So after making a few phone calls and checking other stores she was able to find some, and said that all I need do was to present the prescription at the Shoppers Drug Mart store on Mohawk and Upper Wellington.
So I drove to the store and asked if they had had a conversation with the Harvard Square store regarding my antibiotic prescription and yes they had, the pharmacist asked was it for my wife and I said yes, her details were on the prescription, he asked what other drugs was she taking so I told him what she was taking not the name but the reason, Blood Pressure, Blood sugar, etc etc, he then said he wanted to see the list, I told him I don't have it with me.
He insisted that for me to get this prescription he needed to see a list, I said that the Doctor at the Juravinski Hospital had seen the list and prescribed the antibiotic accordingly, but he still would not agree to fill the prescription without seeing the list.
I asked him if he could call Shoppers Harvard Sq and he said no, I also asked if the computers were able to cross check what my wife was taking he said no, so he left me no alternative but to drive home (30 mins) and get the list and drive back again.
I did this arriving 30 minutes later, produced the list, he took 20 seconds reviewing it and gave me the Antibiotics.
Question's
(1) why did the pharmacist need to see the list of medication?
(2) As you have all the medication on the computer, and I know I that it is transferable from one store to another, why would it not be able to be viewed by another store?
It would have saved me driving home and back again?

No receipt-advise ?
Hello
I am hoping someone at head office can resolve or advise on following issue I had at shoppers drug mart in Woodbridge Ontario highway 7 and Ansley grove, I purchased some items and forgot to retrieve a bag of items. it was 3 o’clock in the morning and in returned the next day but my items were not given to me as unfortunately had thrown receipt away that morning and my garbage was taken away as it was garbage day by the city ,,, is there any way I can still get my items?
I shop / frequent this location many times for the past 20 years and have never had any issue fortunately. I attend my shoppers location at least 4 times a week,, I am very disappointed that no one would help me ? And was told to take it up with head office. I work with the public as well and have always made an issue if any resolved but yet I was just said to call head office very rudely with no other advise etc.
please advise and thank you in advance for taking the time to review this issue. You can contact me at+14168014812 or my email if so [email protected]
Again thank you for taking the time

I got 2 perceptions' today at shoppers 1 was on backorder the backorder 1 the server opened to check to see what was inside and never resealed the package. Having 2 packages in my hand while opening my car caused the shingrix to fall out of the bag. when I arrived home finding the box gone searched my car then when back to shoppers and found it crushed in the parking lot. went into shoppers and got another vile at a cost of 155 dollars on top of the original 39 dollars. I agree it is partly my fault but not to the tune of 155 dollars as the bag should have been sealed when handed to me . Had it been I would not be writing this now

Finally switchec
I use to love Shopoers but like many here Ive had problems with prescriptions (they never have enough to fill my script and have to wait 3-4 days for tbe balance).
And returns? Forget it!! My store doesnt allow returns for ANY reason. Really?!
Very poor customer service and sometimes downright rude at the pharmacy.
Finally got fed up and moved everhthing over to a new Target drugstore. I coukdnt be mor pleased with service and caring at the new drugstore.
At least I am treated like a valued customer.
I coukd care less about your PC points!!

very poor service
Dropped in Shoppers drug mart on 1633 Mountain rd, Moncton on August 12, gave in two separate prescriptions at 10:45 am was told they would be ready at 2:00pm, went back at 5:15pm to pick up, once back in my car, noticed there was only one item, went back in, now waited 15 minutes to be served and they insisted that there was only one, after verifying, was told that the second was forgotten to be entered, therefore it was a compound that had to be mixed, and was told that they would deliver it after 7:00pm, while I drove home, they called my wife telling her that it would only be delivered next morning at 1:00pm. My wife told them that there would be nobody home, therefore told them that I would return that next day after 4:00pm to pick up, and was told that my cost was $22.15, When I returned that day at 4:00pm again they couldn't find it until one employee remembered and said that it was put on delivery even though they were told not to, finally got my prescription and for what ever reason, now was charged $23.24. My reaction was that after so much aggravation, I should have the least receive it as no charge, but instead had to pay an extra dollar. That is the worst service I ever received and believe I should be compensated.... if not I will never return to Shoppers Drug Mart.

apps
This was the very last time I shop at superstore or Shoppers drug mart. I have been a loyal customer for over 40 years and am disgusted by the useless rigamarole now IMPOSED on customers. I have an Optimum card which should be enough to qualify for all the discounts and specials but NO. now we have to have an app and I see something about a mobile text discount how stupid and redundant is that? Can you tell me why this is necessary? I am not tech savy and neither are my friends who are all seniors living on a very low fixed pension. We need all the help we can get in this day and age. I just spent $80 plus dollars and do not qualify for the 2500 points because I don't have an app even though I have spent over the required $75. I feel like I am being punished for not having an app. Why should I even bother having an optimum card. I can get lower fees on my prescriptions and lower prices on almost everything at other stores. I am thinking I might return my purchases and go to London drugs or even Walmart.

Seniors discount on Thursdays
March 15/ 2020
Good day ,
On Thursday March 12/20 , I went to Shoppers in Fergus Ontario to utilize my seniors discount , on some items I needed .
I picked up the 4 items , when I went to cash out , the line was very long . There was only one cashier on with all these people .
So I thought I would do self check out . I have no problem with it. It is fast and efficient .
When I finished checking out I realized I didn't get my seniors discount. (oh no)
I went to the one cashier and asked about seniors discount on self serve ?She said, she had to leave her till and come over and put in a code . ( all the while not making eye contact with anyone in line LOL)
Well I had already rang my items through . I asked her what to do now ? she said she would have to cancel my things and run them through . Mean while the poor cashier had all these people in line , then the other line of people at self check out who knew as much as I did . I didn't go that route . Just left. Not upset just wondering why there wasn't better system ?
There should be a way that seniors can run through self checkout , without taking the cashier away from her till .
Like entering a birthdate , or privet code , some thing along that line . Only take few seconds more .
I look forward to hearing from you .
With thanks Jackie Zimniewich

Pharmacy Complaint
Yesterday March 4/2023 a prescription for antibiotics was ordered and when called the pharmacist was feeling fairly randy I suppose as his reply he couldn’t fill it as they were too busy and wasn’t a high priority medication and could I pick it up on Tuesday March 7. I told him NO as I am a high priority patient. He informed me during our phone conversation that they require 48 notice to fill this type of medication of which was the first time I have ever been advised of this policy. Suppose I will have to be looking at the Cancer Clinic to find another Pharmacy.
