Filling Out a survey for game points.
Hi NightPrincess88,
Stamps.com would like to apologize for the customer experience you encountered. It is important to note that Stamps.com NEVER offers any form of incentive to complete a survey for our company. If we do conduct a survey, it would be sent to our existing customers asking them to comment on our software features or alert us about possible new features they would like added to the software. That survey would come from Stamps.com and would not include any reference to a third party like you stated... "points for a game he plays."
From the experience you described, it sounds like a third party sent you a survey and misrepresented itself as Stamps.com. As I stated above, this would be an unauthorized action and would NOT BE APPROVED by Stamps.com.
The only way to sign-up for a Stamps.com account is to come to the site and manually input personal information including credit card details. In our account registration process, Stamps.com describes our billing process in detail including how our 4 week trial works. Based on the experience you described, it sounds like someone fraudulently used your personal information and signed-up for a Stamps.com account without your knowledge.
So we can better assist you, could you please call our Stamps.com Customer Support team at 1-888-434-0055 (open Mon-Fri, 6am to 6pm PT)? Our support team will research your account and determine what type of action needs to be made.
Sincerely,
Eric

they charged my card monthly without any notice
This company charges my card monthly when I don't use their services. When I registered and was giving them my card number with all information there was written nothing about monthly fee which is up to $17. This company is a scam and be careful when you want to deal with them.

Scam and lies
I was lazy to go out to buy stamps one day and tried to sign in stamps.com. at nowhere they told me I needed to pay 15.99 monthly fee. So I signed in, but never used their service as after they mailed some studff to me, I got teh styamps already. then I looked at my credit card for this month, they charged me again, I thought man, what's going on and I called them but they refused to refund me. Is there any way I can get my money back? or it's a tuition paied forteh lessopn?

not as convenient and cheap as it seems to be
I advise you to stay away from this. Their website is really complicated, and the service itself is not as convenient and cheap as it seems to be in their TV ad - you'll have to pay $16 a month plus any postage.

Don't waste your money!
After having been a Customer Care rep for SDC in the past and reading the above comments, it makes me laugh at how stupid you all are. Anyone with half a brain who goes through registration will understand what they are signing up for and we make it VERY clear on our website different pricing plan options and what the charges were for. We even have a paragraph for you to read before you enter your CC info into our website as to why we need it. Then, one has to agree to the terms and conditions wit hthe very first condition being Pricing and Plans and then if you still were idiotic enough to continue without knowing there were going to be charges, we send out a welcome email informing you of the promotion you signed up for and the Monthly Charge you will be billed if you decide not to call and cancel within your 4 Week no Risk trial. If you were not aware there was a charge we provide our phone number AND our hours of operation. Our customer care team has won multiple awards and national recognition for the quality of customer service provided. SDC is anything but a scam if anyone does any type of research or spends 5 minutes browsing our website. You all are just part of America's dumbest, maybe even the world's dumbest, if you were not aware of what you were signing up for and still decided you should enter ALL of your personal information into our site and not expect any charges as if we just aksed that stuff for kicks and giggles. Grow Up idiots.

fraudulent company with very rude customer service
They signed me up to their monthly service when I bought something from them. They didn't ask me or inform about it. I tried to call them up to 5 times to cancel the sign up but every time I got very rude service. Finally I got rid from this company and now I want everyone to beware - they are really awful!

dont waste time with this company
I signed up not knowing i would be charged for anything. Said the needed my CC info for USPS registration. And something about the trial. Didnt know i was agreeing to that trial just yet. Exited the website at the software download part. I wasnt interested in their service. Cut to 9 months i get a letter they say i owe them $120. The had already took $30 from my card. I called cancelled my account. Then i tryed to settle the account charges. Dont want this crap hitting my credit score. Haggled the guy down to $69. He couldnt accept my payment due to account being closed so he told me to call the accounting guys. I called them and explained my story again. They waived the entire $120. Folks dont waste time with this company.

unauthorized charges
This company is not good. They offer their services but actually they are available only after the registration which supposed to be free. But after you are registered, they charge your card for about $20 which are not refundable and they mention this charge only in the fine print. Be careful dealing with them!

unauthorized charges
I used to have an account with them but I've cancelled it it about three month ago. Since that time I've never used their services but last week I found that this company charged my card monthly after my account with them was cancelled. I tried to contact their support service but I was ignored and I had to go to my bank and then to cancel my account to prevent future charges.
