Automatic renewal
Yeah... I found this forum an hour too late. I just got charged, so hopefully this Ben guy can help me, too. I just emailed him. Maybe there is hope after all?

Rebate is a con job.
I am having trouble getting information from stopzilla about my original purchase, because of course it is automatic renewal and I dont want it anymore, also the credit card I originally used may not be good anymore. So they may get a surprise or maybe I will as I am not sure which card I used. and i can not get any answers from them and I have called at least 4 times and can not get to speak to someone who I can understand, not one person I have talked to can speak in plain english, and I have asked very nicely to speak with someone that I can understand. I am very disappointed with this company, what can I do

Does nothing
I am surprised that theree are so many comment on Stopzilla. Firstly, I am a reseller of Stopzilla and recommend it to my clients. It is the only antimalware program that I recommend. Before I became a reseller, i had tested the product for six months. I always had positive results. Secondly, Stopzilla is an antimalware not antivirus software, so yes it will only detect and remove malware. Thirdly, if there are pop ups that Stopzilla is stopping, why not go to the Stopzilla black list to enable those pop ups.
Somehow I get the feeling that those of you that are experiencing negative results, perhaps are not using it correctly. Stopzilla comes with a tutorial, i suggest you read it.
One last thing, The free version isn't too much different than the free versions of any othere antimalware/antivirus on the market, you are eithere not getting the full edition as the paid version or you will not be able to remove the infection. BTW, Stopzilla puts all infections into quarantine in the trial version in which case renders them harmless.

shameles company, failed their promises and overcharged with no reason
Purchased Stopzilla with a $30 rebate. Well I never received a rebate check. Tried to cancel my purchase but it was impossible, ok. Three month after they overcharged my account without any reason and notice for $40 and never refund me money! This is ridiculous! This company has no shame! Beware and avoid any deals with them!

STOPzilla Apologizes
Dear valued customers, I apologize that you had this experience. Unfortunately, many companies are misrepresenting themselves as STOPzilla even though they are not. All official STOPzilla representatives are located in Boca Raton, FL, and our official support phone numbers are listed at http://www.stopzilla.com/support/. The next time you get a call from someone in India claiming to be us, ask them for their name and phone number to call them back. I can guarantee you they do not work for us. Our tech support line never has and never will be outsourced. We house a purely US-based support staff and have been doing so since the company's inception.
STOPzilla has been relentless in improving the quality of our software, and in the last two years we earned excellent marks from independent groups like West Coast Labs and OPSWAT for the superior detection rate of our product.
In response to complaints concerning renewal subscriptions, upon your initial purchase of STOPzilla, before the credit card is even processed, we fully disclose that you are enrolling in our Constant Protection Program (CPP). We do not attempt to hide this information, and it is readily available on our website:
http://www.stopzilla.com/constant-protection-program/
http://www.stopzilla.com/about/legal/terms/
Furthermore, we also inform our customers at checkout and via email that once they visit http://portal.stopzilla.com, they may change their subscription options to opt-out of the CPP. We also notify all our customers by email 30 days prior to renewal that their protection is going to be extended for another year. Finally, we also send our emails through a 3rd party service to ensure the highest possible deliverability rate on these critical communications.
Like all antivirus software, we operate on annual subscriptions. We fully disclose this, and we are extremely transparent about it. Maintaining a development and support organization in the United States is very expensive, and unlike our competitors, we do not export these jobs overseas.
STOPzilla is priced lower than most of our competitors, even though it works better. Your continued support of STOPzilla keeps your computer free of infections, maintains jobs in the United States, and allows us to create a quality product with excellent customer support.
Again, I apologize that you had a bad experience, and we hate to lose you as a customer. If there is anything we can do to keep you protected, feel free to call on us at 1-888-522-2005.
