NOT JUSTIFIED HOMEOWNER NEED HELP
This job for berthold above was contracted in November and the homeowner was told the job would not start till january do to holidays. When we went to talk to the city and showed them the liento porch that was on side of house with concrete poured I was told that the porch was built illegaly and needed o be torn down and concrete removed. The reason for the city saying this was because the liento porch was built in city easment on the side of the house. We started working with the city and after a couple of months we were able to get the city to at least talk about being able to cut down the easment access to 3' 6' instead of 6'6' the city wanted. We were able to do this after going thru the cities ordanices we found a city ordinance that stated that as long as the easment was not approached on the ground and firemen were able to carry ladders around the house and not hampered then it was ok. After redrawing the plans 4 times four the city we final got the city to agree to let us keep the existing concrete with new footers under the new porch post that had to be moved out of the easment and in 6' 6'. We final were able to get the permit on April 23-12 and two days after that we started the porch. I don't know what the problem is with this person, but this job is finished and they do not understand that once build something that is not up to code and city ordinances then it take some time to get the city to work with you. The porch is finished and the roof is on and we even installed two fans and wired them for the customer. This customer also pocketed a large some of money from the insurance company which is again the law so i don't understand what is her problem.

Stormguard Roofing - LIAR AND SCAM ARTIST
I'm another consumer that got totally ripped off and scammed by Larry Cheatham of Stormguard Roofing. Don't believe a word that comes out of this guy's mouth because it's nothing but verbal diarrhea. He looks and talks like he knows what he's doing, but what he knows is how to steal people's money and disappear. He'll start on something small, and make it seem like he's starting the work, but what really is happening is all a ruse to keep you from being able to file a police report. If a contractor starts on a job, no matter how meaningless or small it is like painting one streak of paint, you can't file a report. He knows the system and all he's doing is gaming it. Once he has your deposit, he'll call and say something like another check bounced from another job so he can't buy all your materials, and then it'll be one sorry excuse after another. He's sick, his transmission is out, he had a stroke. If you see this guy on your property, either take a gun and shoot the sorry piece of shiet, or tell him to get off your property because he's a worthless human being. Oh and by the way, he's a registered sex offender, so if you have kids, keep them away! All I can say is karma is a B, so all the deceit and $$ he's stolen from all these hardworking families is going to come back and rip him a new asshole in jail, or in hell.

Storm Guard Roofing
Yes,,, Larry B CHEATham will cheat you out of your money. That is what he did to me.... took money for materials to do my roof, then came and painted the fireplace. That was all he provided, he kept my money and gave excuses as to why he could not do roof and excuses for why he could not refund my $2500. Sad excuse for a man. We need better laws to protect society against people like Larry B Cheatham. Hope Karma meets up with him soon. Oh, and if you work for Chase be on the lookout- I know of situations where Larrys wife who works for Chase refered coworkers to her husband, he ripped them off, then she acts like she has nothing to do with his business. Appears she is in on the scam opearation as well.

Storm guard roofing Larry Cheatham
Yes, Larry Cheatham will steal your money. I sued him and have a judgment. It has been 2 years and he has never paid me. Scum bag. And, he is a registered sex offender. What does that tell you. He should have to go to jail. I guess we could all pretend to do jobs, get the money, and then, BOOM, were all rich and there is no consequence for it. To me that is a criminal offense, especially, already having the record he has.

Terrible Job
Was visited a few years ago after a hail storm and they said hey, we can get your house re-shingled and they work with the insurance company to get everything done. They did work with the insurance company, we had other bids that were about $5-$6K less and ended up having to got through Storm Guard. They completed the job and first we had a leak, they did come out and fix it, but then we had the drip edge on the house buckle all over. I had nails that I had to go around the house 4 - 5 times to pick up with a magnet. They came out and tried to pick them up but missed quite a few. I also had now have another leak in the same spot and are now reaching out to them. They did not replace flashing on my porch and it sticks out bad. They have a contract that you sign with them and then work with the insurance company to get as much as they can to finish you house. So I'm not a happy customer and need to have them come out to fix. To there defense, I did change my cell number not too long ago, so I've reached out in an email to get things fixed again.

Poor work and damaged new floor
My Husband and I went to a Home show to find a contractor to put in a drop ceiling and drywall a laundry room. Ed was the one who said he takes pride in his work and will get this job done in a week. they started with drywalling and did a terrible job. Ed was nowhere to be seen. he had every excuse not to come. he sent guys who seem to have never drywalled before. All the seams needed repaired. We had just installed a vinyl waterproof floor. They cut the drywall on it and sliced the flooring. They also got paint all over my floor. This took over seven weeks. Five guys would show up and sit out on my deck all day. Then they would go for lunch. We had already framed and insulated the walls. All they had to do was put up drywall. They started the drop ceiling and said they would be done in a day. They did not complete the ceiling. We lost any confidence that they would finish. I finally had to fire them. They lie and say they are experienced. They want you to pay for professional work. I am stuck with an unfinished drop ceiling and a damaged floor. Do not hire this company to do any work.
