RIP OFF

I went to SmartStyle Hair Salon out on Charlotte Avenue today(6-7-17) and was very disappointed. I went there to have my hair only washed and conditioned. The price of this services was between $9-10. This was my impression anyway. I was nor aware that you paid extra for getting under the hair dryer. I had a scarf on my head when I entered the shop and had intentions on putting it back on and doing something to it myself later. I had relayed this to the stylist (Brittany) my intentions. Well, after I came out from the dryer from the wash, Brittany proceeded to braid it even though I had told her I was just going to put my scarf back on. It was wet so, I let her do this thinking she was doing this so it would be more manageable to put under my scarf. Then, she asked me if I want to get under the dryer and I said no. She asked me (3) times and I gave in, telling her that maybe I should since it was still wet. I didn't say no because I was being charged, because I didn't know I was being charged. I just didn't want to get under the dryer. Well, I got under the drying, but didn't stay under long, because i don't like dryers. She made a comment about her not wanting me to catch a cold, by going out with my hair wet. However, I realized once we got to the register that she was only concerned about her "pocket book" The $10.00 was conditioner cost me $36.00. WHAT A RIP OFF!!! I came all the way across town because I thought they were reasonable from price I had been quoted originally. The person who entered me in the system seemed a little evasive about the price or maybe she didn't know how to explain it to me. I decided to just chalk it off as a bad experience, but when I got home and took those few braids down (that I didn't ask for but had to pay for)
I was very upset, because my hair was extremely dry and felt just as hard (if not harder) than before I had the conditioner applied. I did suspect that Brittany was not putting ample enough product on my hair, but I didn't say anything. But, it was obvious, when I took it down. IT SIMPLY FELT WORSE THAN IT DID BEFORE I HAD IT DONE!!!
I will not got back, nor recommend anyone to this salon, I consider the tactics used to be sneaky, and deceitful and I do not like to trade with dishonest and greedy people.
