WG 393 Edmonton to Cuba
They did the same thing to us a few years ago, 12hr flight back, Went from Vancouver to Cuba, return trip Cuba, circled over Hamilton, landed in New York State waited for... back to Hamilton, then to Vancouver.
Paid for “elite” seats, over sold...someone else had them. 8 of us with childern.
they ran out of food and water on the plane, were not allowed to use bathrooms, had to land to change staff and fuel up, too cheap to buy fuel in Cuba.
Nothing back from Sunwing other than a too bad suck it up, we have your money. We also bought Travel Insurance, not valid for a BC flights found out later (thanks sunwing)
No help or support from Sunwing :Customer Service Coordinator Sandra Pase-Gouthro, lots of BS
Turned the story around to make them look good, blaned everyone else. Hope the airline stops flying soon!. We will never use again and continue to tell our story about sunwing.
Do not fly sunwing. Have fun getting something from them!

seat selection "elite service"
I booked a holiday to Holguin, Cuba -booking no. 59309082 for Aug. 28th, 2012. for 4 people.Paid an extra $160.00 for extra leg room and bigger seats, but we had none of the above, My husband and his two cousins were seating in row 2D front seat and had no exra leg room and they are not tall people, and the seats were so narrow, one had to get up in order to lock their seat belts. Needless to say we want our money back.The only advantage for the extra was no waiting at the airport.,, certainly not worth $160.

Sunwing/signature vacations
We booked last minute,trip was everything we thought it to be...Ah but this was Sunwing.The trip back from DR was a nightmare.Went to SW rep office night before checkout and also in morn.nothing posted.Pickup was on time (a first)-still no inform. got to airport,stood in line-paid our fee ,finally got to check in to be called to one side.Flight delayed no inform.yet again...Asked if they could check our bags-no-come back at 2:00,then 3:00,after standing for 2 1/2 hrs-no place to sit ,have to watch suitcases,in the heat.Finally take suitcases for check in .Go through security ,finally get to sit down.The plane arrived at 6:00,they called us to embark only to stand in the heat again ,while they cleaned the plane.Finally got on board relieved to be going home only to be informed that we are going to Toronto for a crew change....(direct flight ) We have to fly 4 1/2 hrs to pick up fresh crew,if we flew to Gander it would have only taken 5 hrs...Whatever!!! Finally landed in Gander at5:30 am for another crew change to go to Deer Lake.Sunwing/Signature get it together-you have left a bad taste in my mouth......A 5hr flight grew into 10 1/2 hrs....Not good enough to book with you again.....Lack of information will be your downfall..
