TCF takes advantage of their customers!

TCF changes their rules and does a piss poor job of communicating the rule changes to their customers in a bid to rack up fees. This bank is no better than you pickpocket thieves.

Causing Over drafts

TCF bank tries anything they can to legally steal your money. This bank sucks and is underhand in their dealings. anyone who banks with them Beware. They will soon start to pick your pocket. And when they do they absolutely refuse to return their fees. Leagalized THIEVES is what they are.

Causing Over drafts

Wells Fargo will charge you for overdrawing your account just like any other bank.

TCF takes advantage of their customers!

I hate this bank! It is the worst bank ever. I am going to tell anyone I know who banks there to leave and go to another bank. there are plenty of more friendly banks out there that don't rip people off. How they are even in business is beyond reasoning. I hope they go out of business and it will become my mission to complain and voice my opinion about them to anyone and everyone that will listen. Why would anyone even work there? Good-bye TCF...I hope you close down one day. I will do waht I can to help that to come true.

General customer service

I actually have 3 complaints; first complaint I made a deposit for $ 160.00, I requested $60.00 back the teller did not give me the cash back. I asked her why and she said she did see the cash back and sent the deposit slip to me for $160.00. When I saw that this was not reflected on my account online, I contacted the bank. It toOK them 5 days to find this and then sent me a nice letter saying that they did and audit and find the $60.00, ( that I originally told them about 7 days before). This happened again over $ 200.00 deposit and $100.00 cash back, this time they played the I think it was you the deposit slip loOKs like you received the money back.... again the deposit slip given to me was correct $200 deposit, so they toOK $100 out of my account, until they again did an audit and found it.( plus a phone call from my sister the attorney) I have had trouble in the past with money and I understand your bank is like the last hurrah for some people who did not do the right thing with the other banks or credit. I see that you hire very very young people and I am OK .. I mean I know I can't get an account at a decent bank like Chase or a Credit Union due to my credit history, but seriously I am not a fool or do I deserve to receive the horrible customer service your bank provides. I just today had an issue, I went to the bank on Friday, I had a pending charge from Amazon for $54.32, I did not charge that amount. I told the teller and the branch manager at the bank on Quincy and Buckley in Aurora Colorado, they said we can't do anything until it debits the account. Today I called customer service and was told that they need me to call Amazon which I did but they are closed today, so I have to wait until Monday. My account is not overdrawn and the customer service representative said well it is good you did not get a overdraft fee... yes is is nice. I explained to her that it was not my charge it put my account into the negative and I had to borrow money to get this account positive so they did not charge me a fee. This fell on deaf ears and no comment, so I explained that I did not have extra money that money was not Amazons to take and I was the bank customer. I put my money in the bank as a trust to hold for me. This was obviously a new concept for this young lady that then canceled my card. I did get it reinstated but was told that she could file a claim but it would take the bank 10 to 90 days to recover the money and put it back in my account. I have to tell you I am still in shock. I told her never mind and contacted Amazon again my email and also contacted the BBB. I have to say the bank needs to invest in more mature employees and give them so training in GOOD customer service.
At this point I am stuck with you and you with me. I will not always be in this situation and I really find it sad that your institution feels that people with some hard luck ...need a hard time.
