Cockroaches, bed bugs, and bad maintenance! Ongoing problem. Moved in Oct/2011, noticed Nov/2011, still having problems with all three Sept/2012. The bathroom ceiling collapsed on my grandmother! I found out after this happened that the original ceiling had been tiled over to hide extensive water damage. Cockroaches are lining the hallways, and bed bugs are creeping through the entire building. They don't even care if it's night or day anymore! Did some research and found this to be an ongoing problem that dates back to 2007! Friends and family stopped visiting a long time ago, not wanting to bring any pests to their own homes! I moved out after finding bites on my newborn daughter, and am still paying rent because they won't allow tenants out of the lease early! This is ridiculous and if anybody wants my statement for court, feel free to contact me. I have contacted my MP and will be taking this issue to the Tribunal. If anyone would like to submit a statement, also feel free.

Gross exaggeration
I have been living at 1297 Huron since the end of last year and cannot disagree more with the previous posted. I don't know what happened in the building before I arrived but my experience at the property and the building manager has been great. When I took possession of the apartment it was in great shape and perfectly clean - a true move-in ready experience.
The person I dealt with at head office for the credit check was very friendly and sociable. The building manager continues to this day to go above and beyond. He is extremely personable and very hard-working. He is constantly maintaining the building making sure it is clean and running smooth.
To address the pest issue, I am happy to report I have had no issues. I think the situation is under control now that there is a pest control company coming in regularly to do preventative treatments. I can only image what a headache (and expense) this must be for the property management company but I am glad to see they have taken charge and resolved the problem.

1297 Huron st.
Nov. 21, 2016, since we move here after just a week we are seeing small cockroaches. every year they keep doing maintenance.
Today they come to our place and their said we are only in the building who have the cockroaches, and that the other places don't have.
I told the supervisor and the pest control guy that their lying that we are the only apartment who only have the cockroaches. He said it might be when we started moving in the building.
And I told the supervisor I did some research that this problem is still ongoing a long time ago. and he said I don't look on the computer. They try to imply that its our fault. The place is really great they always cleaned and maintained the building.
One of my co-worker- who is a student lives in the other building 1299 or 1257 he said they plan to move out again because of the cockroaches. for the 2 years they're living in the building they 3 times in a year the pest control management to some spray or put anything that will keep them away.

TerraCorp's: Shiny on the surface but rotten to the core
I've lived in various apartments for over twenty years, and renting with TerraCorp was by far the worst. I live in the building at 403 Stirling Ave. S in Kitchener (Stirling Place) and here is a brief summary of my experience:
1) The building is infested with cockroaches.
2) Maintenance requests are simply ignored. We have repeatedly contacted the landlord and property manager about our broken fridge. It has been ten months since we alerted them to the problem and no one has come to inspect let alone replace it. They are aware we have an infant but simply don't care.
3) When you contact the landlord or property manager, they will tell you it will be taken care of to get you off the phone, but never actually do the work.
4) The elevator is a major safety hazard. The door closes too quickly and doesn't stop when it encounters resistance. Our dog suffered an injury that cost us $700 in surgery, and our son's hand was recently crushed between the door and his stroller while trying to get off the elevator.
5) The property management compulsively schedules "repairs" to the parking lot. This involves throwing tenants' cars out on the street for days at a time without making arrangements to provide alternative parking. Most of the time, the construction is cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled again and again, so that tenants are inconvenienced over and over.
6) The rent continually increases, but the money is spent on "renovations" that don't improve tenants' quality of life. So while you watch cockroaches crawl across the floor, your food go bad in a broken fridge, and the elevator crush your loved ones, you are treated to new hallway carpets, paintings in the lobby, and freshly paved asphalt you can't actually park on.
TerraCorp's motto should be: "Shiny on the surface but rotten to the core."

Abuse, Neglect, Harassment, Mischief, And More
Management maintenance/updates never happens at all...and these buildings are infested with; ants, roaches, bed-bugs, not to mention pigeons that freely uses the balcony to nest, with pigeon excrement. When Management want to upgrade or raise the rent to unusual amounts; they force their tenants "out into the streets"...they create hazards in the building....numerous water shutoffs day and night without notice to the tenants. Numerous fire-alarms going off without any danger to the occupants...but forced building evacuations for unknown reasons. If you put in a work order they keep it on file, never bother to do the repairs,, but use this notice to enter your unit when you are not home, or no one is in the unit...very malicious bunch! These buildings does not have surveillance, and so they make up rules as they go to harass tenants to the point where they are left with no choice but to give vacating notice..
