$3,000 lost in an instant
The ATP Financial Group is a scam where they send you a letter and a check in the mail reading something like this:
"
Dear Person,
We are pleased to inform you that you are the winner of a cash prize of $47,000 guaranteed by the ATP Financial Group. Recently, we have undergone a process of random elimination.
In order to claim your cash prize, there a re some small fees involved, which can all be paid to the ATP Financial Group as a lump sum of $2,998.86.
For more information on your good fortune, please contact your consultant Cynthia Jacobs yada, yada, yada.
You will awarded within a fortnight of organizing the transfer with our help.
"
So as you can see it's sounds a lot like a scam. A scam, that's not really traceable either. So next I called this Cynthia Jacobs bitch and she explained everything nicely, nice enough for me to fall for the scam. Regrettably, I paid the $3,000 to the ATP Financial Group and I haven't heard back since.
After this whole ordeal I found that most of their victims are from USA, not Australia.

Fake Lottery Scam
I am an average woman from the country of Australia. Recently I was contacted via mail by a company called the ATP Financial Group. The subject of the letter was that I had won $47,000US in a random ballot. The flipside was that I had to pay them to organise the change of possession of the money, which would be more than expected because I am in Australia, not America. Plus there was also a number of administration fee, so all up it was just under $3,000. I got a few more emails from The ATP Financial Group trying to convince me they were the real deal. But I was never going to do anything.
So, whether you're from America, or Australia. If you get a call from the ATP Financial Group, please remember that it is a definite scam.
