DONT RENT FROM TIMBERCREEK
Timbercreek is undoubtedly the WORST company I have ever rented from! They're a bunch of liars and scammers. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! and if you do, DO NOT sign up for preauthorized rent payments. They take out more than they're authorized to every month and you're lucky if you ever see that money again! They f-ked up my rent 9 of the 10 months I have been renting from them, and it's next to impossible to reach anyone to resolve issues. The day my lease is over I will be moving out!

Absolutely Unprofessional, Stay away.
Absolutely horrendous service.
This place has 2 elevators, with 14 floors. Both of them look like they're from the 1970's. No AC in them, plus one of the elevators is completely inoperable. The one that is working will shut down if more then 4 people are in it. Were told before move in that "they would both be replaced" in less then 6 months, nothing has changed. Dirty stains are on the wood floor, no carpet or tile is on the ground.
Asked for the buzzer to be set up and filled out a form on July 22nd. It is now September 11th, it has yet to be completed. Calling the rental office will not help. I've called over 50 times- the answer is always the same. "Not a problem, we will get it done today". Then they hang up the phone and nothing happens. Call their manager, he says the exact same thing. Don't bother asking the superintendent to do it, he just rolls his eyes and sits outside.
We've now found cockroaches in our kitchen and nothing is being done about this either. Absolutely disgusting, horrendous service. In addition, the showers don't even get hot. Warm, sure. But not hot. Do not live here, it isn't worth it!

COMPLETE #####
When we had our viewing, everything was still being renovated, however Lynn McGonigal filled us in on what was being done and gave us an idea of what the finished apartment would look like. When we moved in, the maintenance workers had left a bunch of stuff behind including a bunch of paint cans, some empty, some half empty, and big buckets of I don't even know what was in it, I'm assuming plaster, and some garbage, and all of the kitchen cabinet doors were not yet installed. With further inspection we noticed that the paint job was terrible with missing patches of paint and without even sanding down the wall first. The next day the building manager told me he was coming to fill out the initial inspection form, which he never showed up for (it's been 7 months still in my closet not filled out). Anyways, the first thing to break was the toilet paper holder on the move in day, not a big deal so we didn't mention anything. The next morning, my boyfriend goes to take a shower, and it explodes, water is flying everywhere flooding our bathroom and the apartment below us. Turns out the maintenance workers who renovated our apartment took major shortcuts and did not include necessary pieces of the shower so that they wouldn't have to cut the tile, as it wouldn't have fit otherwise. Couple weeks in we started to notice our closet and bedroom floor start lifting and it only got worse and worse and worse. We noticed that every time someone would take a shower, water would start flooding into our closet and bedroom. We submitted a maintenance repair form for not only the flooding, but for the extreme floor damage from the constant flooding, as well as the closet doors (keep coming off the hinges, falling, and we have to force them open after several aggressive attempts), and maybe one or two other things. I requested to be contacted 24 hours in advance before they come do the repairs as I would like to be present when strangers are in my apartment, however I was not contacted. Anyways, so they show up a couple days later no warning, figure out whats causing the flooding, and fixed that. This required smashing a massive hole in the wall behind the closet. The reason for the flood? The maintenance workers again, taking shortcuts and not sealing the tub (i believe thats what they told me). After they fixed the flooding problem, the building manager told me they would be back within the week to fix the hole and our floors. Nobody ever showed up. I submitted the maintenance request on April 13, 2017 and the landlord has not resolved any of the issues on my maintenance request form except for the highest priority one being the flooding. I have tried calling and texting our building managers yet I never get a response. Whenever I happen to see them in the hall, elevator, or even on the street near the rental office, I will bring up the fact that the work is incomplete, there is still a massive hole in my wall, and the floors have not been fixed and feel like I'm walking on sharp rocks. Every time, they will schedule an appointment with me at said date and time to finish the repairs, but nobody has ever shown up )at LEAST 3 times on 3 separate occasions). The maintenance request was not just for the flooding, they completely ignored the other issues i had included on the form, and to make a giant hole in my wall and just leave it like that?? I am appalled. On April 18th and May 13th, I received an email to complete on "how did we do" about the maintenance request I had filled out. At the end of the survey there is an option on whether or not you would like to be contacted for any follow up. On both surveys I clicked yes. However, I was never contacted (surprise surprise). This is honestly the worst place i have ever lived in. The people are so rude. Only one elevator works, and it will take you to every floor before you get to the floor that you pressed. The gym, oh lord, more than half the machines are "out of service", and the one that does work, don't work very well. So we went to the pool, first of all, the change rooms are DISGUSTING, the pool itself is nice and clear and peaceful, but everything outside of the water is disgusting, paint peeling off walls and ceiling, everything just looked really bad. Everyday you can hear the busses go buy every couple minutes, and at least once a day a firetruck, or ambulance or police siren goes off passing through or close enough for it to be loud enough for it to be loud in our apartment. Ever since my boyfriend and I moved in to this building we developed hives and rashes all over our bodies. Many of the people that live in this building and neighbourhood are extremely rude. For example, I was sitting in the lobby and this 12-13 year old stops in front of me and says "I could rob you right now". WTF. I honestly can't stand this place and am trying to figure out a way to get out of here as soon as possible without any penalty.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
I have lived at 2861 Baycrest for only 6 months now and I cannot wait for my lease to be up. Before moving in, I tried to set up an appointment with a rental agent MULTIPLE times and in order to sign the papers for my lease, I had to return 4 times because they were unprepared or did not give me the proper information.
I had a serious altercation with my roommate and had to get her out of my apartment. After returning the paper with all signatures on it, stating that she is permanently gone, they LOST the paper and continue to send me letters with both names on it. They also lost our document requesting for a new house key, TWICE. In BOTH cases, they took ZERO responsibility for losing the documents and never apologized for any inconvenience.
Living on my own, rent was being paid 5 days late. Upon receiving a letter that I had until the 23, they e-mailed me saying I only had a couple days to pay or else I would be evicted. After contacting management, they were extremely rude and did not go by the legal letter I received to my door.
The laundry room is disgusting. The machines are never cleaned, they smell. There are cockroaches in the building and within the last few weeks, I've noticed bugs throughout the apartment.
The management is ABSOLUTELY terrible and rude. They don't care at all about your well being, or their own job. There are 2 girls who work the front desk at the rental office who make things bearable.
I lived with Minto for 3 years previously and have never had issues like this. Regardless of how cheap this area is, DO NOT move in.
