They break all the rules - and laws!
We live on a Tingdene park which they have owned now for about 26 years. They have filled it to the hilt with their own new homes - as large as they can get onto any plot while just keeping to the minimum 6 metres separation distance. As a park owner, they are the pits; prior to them taking over we had a full time park manager, gardener and maintenance man with a large building to house all the required equipment. We now have no staff - other than a twice weekly, mornings only, 'grass cutter' who thinks he may double as the park manager. They have consistently refused to display emergency contact numbers - as is a requirement of their site licence - but due to the intransigence of our local council, nothing is done about it. So if you have a problem - as has happened this weekend - with water, electric, sewerage etc. you are on your own! A very elderly resident here with a serious illness got up yesterday to find his toilet blocked. Frequent calls throughout the day to Tingdene elicited the same response each time - 'someone will definitely be out today'. Needless to say, nothing happened - as it typical of the hypocrisy of Tingdene. The workmen turned up yesterday [Saturday], spent two hours trying to rectify the situation and then declared that as there wasn't a manhole, they couldn't do it....!!!! They continued for a bit longer trying, then announced that 'their equipment had broken down' and went away. No sign of them since. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! If you are tempted to buy a park home, then do your research first - its too late once you are in. Many sellers - like Tingdene - have a superb marketing team who could sell you anything; unfortunately once you have paid your money, that's where the service ends.
The new Bill introduced two years ago was supposed to help home owners, but unfortunately when you get park owners like this one, who have constantly done things their way - mostly against the law - then they do not change their modus operandi and you are still left nursing all your problems and hopefully not having a major stroke or heart attack.
If this prevents just one more poor person from falling into the trap, then it will have been worthwhile. There is plenty of information out there - research it properly and do not be taken in by a smart salesman - after all, that's their job!

Appalling company
Tingdene have to be one of the most shoddy and ineffectual companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their customer care just dosnt exist. DO NOT LIVE ON ONE OF THEIR SITES, YOU WILL REGRET IT !!! Once they have your money they will not give a damn about you. They have done nothing but cause me great stress and upset. BUYER BEWARE.
How this company stay in business, I really don't know.
