Unprofessional
The above photography studio is over priced for headshots. Adrian Lyon's is not an established photographer, he has been shooting headshots for only a few years yet he is charging higher rates then all of the veteran headshot guys in Toronto.
He is a rude, unprofessional, arrogant and has no business charging industry rates. Most Toronto Agents will not refer their talent to him due to the above issues.
Please google other photographers in Toronto and you will quickly see that this man does not compare and his prices are completely un-reasonable.
Good luck getting your deposit back should you need to cancel his services.
Shop around actors!!!! Don't get screwed!!!!

Actors Beware
Adrian Lyons has already been spoken to today regarding his actions toward Agency owners by one the oldest and most established casting directors in Ontario. He was asked if he knew any casting directors by name...he does not...he was asked how long he has worked in this industry.....a couple years was his answer. This man is simply disgruntled that agencies refuse to refer talent to a no-name, non-established photographer who feels he can charge the same rates as the veteran headshot photographers that have been in the industry for years and years. These photographers know exactly personally what the casting houses want to see in a headshot.
Adrian Lyons (Torontoheadshot.com) is posting things on this forum in a effort to poach new actors into paying him for headshots. He is using a guise as a concerned industry member starting blogs about Agency's practices. The reality is that Agencies refer the photographers that are tried, tested and true. We all have similar referral lists and the lists consist of independent photographers that specialize in this industry. These photographers know the casting systems and the angles needed to best work in the boxes provided for uploads, they know which looks to turn talent into to increase their submissions, they know our time lines and they are quick and efficient and reliable.
Adrian Lyons (torontoheadshot.com) has simply created a website with mediocre headshots, slapped an industry price tag on the session rate, and is now disgruntled that agents are not referring their talent to him OVER the established photographers in the city.
This man knows nothing about the industry, and knows absolutely nothing about casting, not even the names of the top directors in this city. How then can he possibly know what casting directors want to see in a headshot, what kind of shots give actors a edge, etc??
Talent that produce proper strong work. Talent shoot with Mickey Mouse photographers, they stay starving actors. Thats it and thats all!
