Scam artists

We booked a hotel reservation through RCI travel which uses this Travelscape LLC. Several times we stated the dates 19-23 of July 2017. We went round and round with the person doing the booking. He kept putting us on hold several times during the search. We finally nailed down a reservation close to the event we were scheduled. The first problem is that my husband's credit card was charged twice. When we got to the hotel, we found out that this guy made the reservations for June instead of July. We had to call around for hours trying to find another hotel close to the event that wasn't already booked. We also had to settle for a smaller room/bed and were out for more money. We called RCI travel about the issue, they refused to reimburse us for the money we were out for the either of the reservations. They would only reimburse us as much as two days of one of the hotel stays not four. The initial reservation was recorded and they knew we had asked for July many times during the conversation not June, so it was totally their fault.
