failed the delivery of my order
Purchased a dress for Halloween about a month ago and still haven't received it. They promised me the delivery in 10 working days and they are late. I tried to contact them but it seems like there is no customer support service. Beware and don't buy from them!

Tri North Lighting...Horrible Customer Service!
I ordered a hat to go with my son's Halloween costume on September 28, 2012. When I placed the order I received an order confirmation and was told the item would ship within 5 business days. My credit card was charged right away. Just a little over a week goes by and I don't have my item, no order updates, or shipping info...nothing. I emailed then asking what was the status of my order...I got no reply. A few days later I emailed them again, and still no answer. It's in the second week now and I email them again and still no reply. I'm getting concerned because Halloween is just around the corner. I then called their 1-800 customer service number and no one answered the phone. I left a message that I needed someone there to call me and let me know what's going on with my order. By the next day, no return call...nothing. I emailed them again and this time I was upset and tired of being ignored. I explained to them that if someone didn't respond to my inquires I would contact the Better Business Bureau and lodge a complaint. A few hours later, the owner Jeff Beach responded and rudely explained that they were busy, and that since I emailed them too much he was cancelling my order and refunding my money...that was Oct. 19, 2012 and today is Oct. 23, 2012 and I have not received my refund. He also told me rudely that if I can't understand that they are busy I can "take my business elsewhere".
All this person had to do was let me know from the beginning what was going on instead of ignoring me. When I bring up the BBB all of the sudden he has time to respond to my emails...funny how that works out. I also found out that Tri North Lighting has several other complaints against them at the BBB for the same thing...ignoring their customers and being rude to them and cancelling their orders when they finally answer them. Tri North Lighting has displayed some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Buy beware, Tri North Lighting will take your money and leave you hanging...shop elsewhere if you want to be treated like a valued customer because you won't get that with Tri North Lighting.

failed with my order and provided very rude service
Purchased Christmas led lights and they didn't arrive in time. Contacted them and the representative I spoke with said that unfortunately items which I purchased were out of stock and they said I had to wait. When I asked why did they place on the website that item when it was out of stock and didn't notice about it and the representative started to shout on me. I could forgive the failure with my order, but I will never forgive this rude service! Stay away from these scammers!

Item Never Received
Ordered a Valentine Hearts Inflatable from Tri North Lighting on January 19th. Item was paid for utilizing PayPal and money was immediately taken although the item had not been shipped. I wasn't too worried at first due to the winter storms that were causing issues with all deliveries. Finally contacted company by email on February 1st. Did not receive a response until I sent a "2nd Request" email on February 3rd. At this time, all I received was a one line response...."Item was not in stock and refund was already processed." They made it sound like I had already received a refund. I did not receive the PayPal notification of a refund until February 4th. What I find amazing is that they had my money for 16 days before I was finally told that the item was not available. This company should not be allowed to utilize PayPal to conduct their shady business. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

Exceptionally poor customer service and misleading shipping times
On Monday, 4/7/14, after doing much research online, I came across an LED par can on the TriNorthLighting.com website that seemed to be a good value. I needed several of these for a small production 2 weeks later.
I called the number on the site and briefly discussed a few technical questions I had about the fixture. The person I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. He assured me that if I ordered the lights that day (Monday) before 3 p.m., they would ship out of the warehouse that same day and easily be to me by the end of the week, which was perfect, as I needed to install them that weekend. I placed the order via PayPal (without an account, using a credit card) at approximately 2:30 p.m. Eastern time that same day.
On Friday, 4/11/14, I had not received any information about tracking or shipment on the order. At around 12:30 p.m., I called Tri North Lighting, and the same person answered. He indicated that one of his employees had mistyped the tracking number on the order which caused the tracking email to be undeliverable, even though, he assured me, the order had shipped. He said he would fix it, and I should receive an updated email with tracking info shortly therafter.
After 3 hours, I still had not received any email. I called the number again, and the same person answered. When I asked why I hadn't received the email, he hung up without answering. I tried calling back several times, but my call was sent directly to a voicemail inbox.
It was at this time that I Googled the company and found a great number of negative reviews here, at RipOffReport.com, and on the Better Business Bureau's website among other places. Currently there is a BBB alert against this company that they are using BBB seals without accreditation, and, at this time, the BBB given Tri North Lighting an F rating -- in other words, the lowest possible rating for a business. I quickly realized I had made a huge mistake by doing business with Tri North Lighting, and shame on me for not doing my homework prior to purchasing from an unknown site.
About half an hour later, I received an email from PayPal with shipment details for my order. I was given a FedEx tracking number that FedEx's tracking site reported invalid. Since Tri North Lighting was not answering my phone calls, I emailed them proof that the FedEx tracking number was invalid.
I received a reply indicating that the shipment had not yet been picked up by FedEx, and that the original shipment was lost by FedEx, and that Tri North Lighting therefore had to do an insurance claim and re-ship the order. I was told that the items would ship today (Friday), and I would receive them by the following Tuesday.
Unsatisfied with this answer, and now extremely worried given the overwhelmingly negative reviews online, I called them back. The same person answered again, this time pretending not to hear me, repeating "Hello? Hello? HELLO?" over me as I was talking. Again, I was hung up on.
I then received another email indicating they were having problems with their phones. Ignoring this, I replied to the email, asking why the tracking number was coming back invalid. I explained that FedEx's own website indicates very clearly that a shipment is trackable as soon as the recipient has a tracking number, or as soon as the package is shipped. I asked for valid proof by Friday's close of business that the items were shipping.
Almost immediately, I received a reply stating that the shipments were missed and wouldn't be picked up by FedEx until Monday and delivered on Wednesday. I received 2 more invalid tracking numbers and was told I could cancel the order if I was unhappy. I replied back with a request to cancel and refund the order immediately.
Over the next 3 days, I received 25 partial refunds on the order from Tri North Lighting through PayPal, with each refund in varying amounts - anywhere from $.01 to $150.00. On Monday, 4/14/14, I had been refunded all but $10.01 on the order, and it took several stern emails to Tri North Lighting before I finally was refunded the remaining portion.
But before Tri North DID actually refund the $10.01, I had received a suspicious PayPal email notifying me of a payment (not a refund, as with the previous 25 notices) of $10.01 from Tri North Lighting. This seemed odd to me since I did not have a PayPal account at all under that email address (my checkout was completely anonymous with a credit card). I forwarded this email to [email protected] to check its validity, and I received a reply stating that the email "...was a phishing attempt, and we're working on stopping the fraud."
Tri North Lighting claimed that the email was legitimate and was a technical issue with PayPal.
Tri North Lighting also blamed the partial refunds on a technical problem with PayPal.
You be the judge.

Lying, cheating Company Director - Jeff Beach
Jeff Beach, conned me out of $299 for an item which he said was a suitable replacement for my existing faulty one. He lied -
Jeff Beach promised that if I returned the item he would refund the full sum of $299 as the light was unfit for purpose. He lied.
Jeff Beach informed me he had made the payment in full via PayPal. He lied.
Now Jeff Beach will not respond to any calls or emails.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
