Never use them
I also have used turbo tax for years, then this year I click on TurboTaxCard! Biggest mistake this year. Turbotax put a security hold on my card, then told me it was mailed. Then, after having my $7700 return put on the card by the IRS, and not recieving my card, turbo tax tells me I have to fax in security papers n they will process my fax in 7 to 10 business days. WTH??? How can they hold my money that long? Then, after over 2 hours on hold with them for the sixth time, a supervisor tells me she cannot contact the security department and I will have to wait the whole 10 days before calling back. Now it has been a week ago that I actually was told my card was released and sent. I called back after not receiving it and was told it wasnt sent out last week, but was released last week. Was sent Monday and I will get it in 7 to 10 days. I asked again for a supervisor which they would refuse to let me talk to. They kept saying the supervisor couldnt do anything more than they could. So, after 11 phone calls I spoke with someone who told me they would send it fed ex and I will get it in 2-3 days. OK, so I think that I will be getting my card. I call after 2 days and ask for the tracking number to be told by turbotax that they just sent my card the day before, not Monday which I was told. Then I was told to wait 3 business days from Tuesday and if I dont get it, call back and can get tracking number. I called FedEx, who informed me they get a tracking number immediately when sent, and they looked me up and my address, and nothing was EVER sent. Called turbotax back who would not transfer me to supervisor, saying that they didnt know anuything more, I will have to wait 3 days. I cant believe they can do this and I have been a customer for 5 years also. Not a new customer!! Well, I hopefully will be getting my tax refund I was due 3 weeks ago soon. At least an answer why not. I sure wish someone would bring up charges or a lawsuit for alll this stress. I feel harassed to get my money that turbotax has no right to hold!!!

TurboThieves
IT is August of 2012 and I have not recieved my 2011 refund. TurboTax put a "security hold" on my card. Then said my money had been sent back to the IRS. The IRS said they never got it and that my money went to pay off a "refund anticipation loan". I didn't know TurboTax did "refund anticipation loans". Anyway, after holding my money in their banks, TurboTax just decided to keep my tax return money and IRS (nor anyone else) cares. Don't use them!

Error prone web site, non-existent customer service & hidden fees
Intuit is an exceptionally poor company to deal with; which is a generous description “at best”. As has been shared by thousands of unhappy customers on this site and others they provide little to no customer service, hide any of their customer service contact numbers from the public and if you are lucky enough to find a customer service number; expect that you will never make it through their “evil” customer call queuing system – designed to “weed you out” and make certain you will never speak to a living breathing human with the capability to address problems or issues, no matter the causation or reason.
This company took a hidden fee from me by means of their own web site errors that would not allow me to successfully build the necessary customer profile to facilitate a credit card payment for the filing of an individual state return. When this occurs on an e-filing your only option is to have the state fee taken from any refund you may be due but alas they have taken a hidden fee to provide this service, in essence a fee on top of a fee, for the privilege of using your own funds to pay for a filing fee, all because their poorly designed web portal would not allow a customer to complete the steps necessary to facilitate a credit card payment transaction.
After 2.5 hours on hold, seven phone calls being dropped or rerouted to non-existent extensions within their company I have officially come to the conclusion that they have “ripped me off” with no recourse to obtain any type of resolution or remuneration for the errors they caused – which allowed them to take an additional fee – very tricky indeed.
Stay away from this company and its products for if you encounter any problem you will have no mechanism of resolution, which is the reason to use a credit card in the first place, to obtain some level of buyer protection – which Intuit itself will not afford you as one of their “despised & whinny” customers.
