Overcharged me

Reserved Truck no longer available
I reserved a truck on Nov 10th, 2012 for the date of December 1st 2012 @ 8am. I was contacted the day before to be informed that the 26' truck that I reserved was not available and that a 17' truck was available at 4pm. I contacted the 1 800 number to be put on hold and then transferred to the Reservation Manager for my area. This is when my experience got interesting. She informed me that there were no trucks available in the area for the time that I needed it and one would be available at 4pm. I confirmed with her that it would be a 26' truck and she claimed to have told me on the phone that we were getting the 17' truck 4 times. I tried to tell her that she did not mention the 17' truck once on the phone and I was talking about the 26' truck that we had originally booked. She proceeded to berate me that she had no reason to lie. I asked her if she had ever heard that the customer was right. The manager said in this case I was wrong. I asked if I could get a contact number above her to make a complaint about the unfilled reservation, but I was denied and told that I would be just dealing with her. I basically had to beg and plead to make sure my reservation was still filled for the wrong time with the right size truck. The manager said it was, but the reservation was further away from my home than the original one. This would void the 50$ rebate that was offered to me because of fuel costs. This has been the worst costumer service that I have ever experienced. The one saving grace is the Operator in Cobourg who filled out a new reservation for me. I am still in shock in the way I was treated by the Reservation Manager.

overcharged and impossible to contact
We rented u boxes at a location for our move across the country. Less than a week before our move, we were told they were not going to get the boxes and left us strand. We managed to find some at another location after many unanswered phone calls and about 5 hours of work. When we rented the boxes, we were asked to provide a preauthorization on our credit card. The charges were actually charged and not preauthorized. When they shipped the boxes they then charged us again. In total they overcharged us over $500. When we tried to call to get our money back, no one could help us, only the branch back in Québec who does not pick up the phone. Also, when we tried to have the boxes delivered to our place as planned before the move (date agreed before the move), we were all of a sudden told that there is only 1 driver to do so and we would not be able to get our things for several days. We ended up having to rent a truck ourselves and deliver our own boxes. The whole process was extremely painful, stressful and time consuming. I cannot imagine any business and it's people being so incompetent and careless in this day and age.
