Just a diploma mill
People get tons of tacky pop-ups and spam e-mails from University of Phoenix advertising Masters and PHD programs "that can be completed in just six months".
Many employers base their opinions on that and are less likely to hire people with UoP degrees.
Perhaps the University of Phoenix doesn't deserve the terrible reputation, but its there just the same. In the job market perception is reality.
Also its nearly impossible to transfer credits to or from the University of Phoenix.
I'm not calling UoP a diploma mill; but for the considering the tuition rates, work load and reputation...you're probably better of at a community college or state university.

Scammers
I was recently blocked in the online community because I reported Religious Abuse. There were people making comments ( I made None) Only reported what I saw were people were stating any religious beliefs other than their own were going to "Burn in Hell". I found this to be very inappropriate not to mention against anyone that read this university online community against peoples First Amendment Rights. So I reported it. Now over three weeks I have been blocked in all communities by the AC office stating I wrongfully reported abuse where there was non to mind my own business, get over it, and move on. They did not only block me there but I have lost my Library, Help icon and many more. I would really like to know what right do I have and what can I do about this. We as student do pay resource of 95.00 per class and if I am being denied these things. Then why should I pay these fees? Please advise me on what I need to do. [email protected]

Do not study there!
I would not recommend this school! They do not let you to leave if you want to! They make you pay a lot of money, but they do not teach a thing! I have paid $6000 for the course, and now they won’t give me back the money!

University of Phoenix is a scam university
Beware of University of Phoenix as this is a university to avoid. I attended this place for more than three years and had to take a maternity leave straight after completing my last class. I gave birth, went there and they said I missed the deadline to get my teaching cert! This is just ridiculous, avoid this scam at all costs.
