They scam people providing false adverts

While we were on our vacation in Georgia, we met a representative of this company, who told us that we could really save up on our trips, because they provide information about the greatest trips at low expense. When we paid them $2500 from our credit card we received information from the internet, the same kind we actually can find ourselves. And the prices were really high, so there was nothing we could afford. Scam!

Vacation Inspirations is a fraud

Vacation Inspirations is a fraudulent company. We met them on their presentation during our holidays. They were trying to convince us that we can save money by using their service. We gave them $2300 and their service turned out to be useless. They just sent me a link for a Kayak page with the highest possible price. Beware of these guys.

Vacation Inspiration - Destination Travel

Destination Travel, and its parent company, Vacation Inspiration are SCAMS! We paid $3,995.00 for discount vacations. We never got a single booking. We could find less expensive condos, hotels and air fare ourselves by going online to hotels.com, etc. I called the "condo representation" and she never called me back. When I emailed her she kept writing back that "she hadn't heard from the vendors yet." Finally, she emailed me our "condo week" which was not the week we even requested and the quoted price was well over the price we could find ourselves online. TOTAL SCAM. Get your money back by writing a letter to the Board of Directors within 30 days. File a dispute with your credit card. Better yet, do NOT do business with these people in the first place!

Vacation Inspirations is a scam

On March 6, 2014 I asked Vacation Inspirations to cancel my membership effective that day since I was misinformed at the time of purchase on February 27, 2014 with inaccurate information as to the benefits and travel savings their company offered. The salesman who sold us the package was Matt Anderson in Savannah, GA.
During the presentation Matt told us they offered saving 20, 40 & 60% on air, hotels, vacation packages and cruises among other amenities and services. Several people from the audience asked questions and Matt said he would give specific examples of the savings they offered if we had travel plans in mind. We had booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean for November 2014 and he told us not to disclose what we paid. He would show us the cost if we booked it through Vacation Inspirations for the same sailing date and cabin category. To our surprise the price he showed us on his computer was about 50% less than what we paid booking direct through Royal Caribbean. We asked him for a price on the same sailing date for a different cabin category and again the price he quoted was about 50% less than the price on the RC web site.

We take an average of one or two cruises a year so we were impressed with the saving Vacation Inspirations offered. Matt said the savings after two or three cruises would pay for the membership in addition to other savings for hotel and airfare. Based on what he told us we signed up for the membership and paid them $1995.00.

After filling out the paper work he told us it would take a couple of days to process through their main office in South Carolina and would become effective on Wednesday March 5, 2014. Matt told us a representative from their office would contact us that day for new member orientation. That did not happen. When I called the number he gave me they said someone would call by the end of the day. Again that did not happen. On Thursday April 6th I called back for the third time and they said someone would be in contact by the end of the day. All I got was an email from Tiffany Smiley in their customer service department with three attachments for travel services that was the same information in the brochure they gave me when I signed up. There was no orientation as Matt said and I started to doubt his credibility.

Next we called their travel service department to take advantage of the great cruise deal he quoted. All I can say is good thing we did not cancel our cruise we booked with Royal. The price their representative, Janae Honeycutt, quoted was higher than what we paid when we originally booked the cruise. There was no 50% savings as Matt quoted when we signed up. My wife and I realized that Matt miss represented the savings and services at the time we signed up and immediately called to cancel our membership. They told us we would have to send them a certified letter to their board of directors which we did. We also called Chase to dispute the payment.
We made a number of calls in an attempt to speak to someone in authority but everyone we spoke to had no authority to do anything to help us. All they would say is by Georgia law you have three days to cancel the contract that you signed on February 27, 2014. After we signed the contract they told us it would take until the following Wednesday March 5th to process the paperwork in their corporate office in South Carolina and the membership and services would go into effect. There was no way we could have known this was a scam and we were given false and misleading information until we went to use the membership services on March 5th. Within one day after our membership was in effect we canceled our membership on March 6th. I am not familiar with Georgia law, but doesn’t it seem odd that Vacation Inspirations would have their clients sign a membership contract with a three day cancellation policy but your membership would not go into effect for 6 days after you sign the contract???
In addition I tried to contact their office in Savannah GA but the phone number was temporally out of service. I asked how I could contact Matt Anderson and they said they could not give me that information.

Vacation Inspirations is a SCAM

Everything you have read about their fraudulent behavior is TRUE! My husband and I tried on three different occasions to utilize the "benefits" of membership, only to find that they were either unavailable or were higher than ORBITZ or TRIP ADVISOR. When we called them for an explanation, we were told that they would cancel the membership, but not refund our money for services not rendered. They never even addressed the problem of customer service and services not provided but advertised. STAY AWAY!!!

Scam

Vacation Inspiration has been one of the worst decisions my husband and I have ever done. DO NOT be sucked in on their scam. I have know idea what we were thinking. They never can be helpful at all. Just sent I a request for a all inclusive to Cancun, their answer "we can't help you with that, you need to call Travel Sevices. His tone of voice is like " I don't have time for you and don't bother me! So unfriendly. They are such a JOKE!

PURE SCAM

We got suckered into this travel club (WHAT a scam). Made two trip reservations (not bad prices although we could have done as well with these scammers). BUT the fact we did not know is that you can NOT cancel these reservations. Tell me whose life is so carefully regulated with NO surprises (illness, job, etc) that they would never need to cancel. The two people on the face of the earth who fit that criteria might just like this travel club. The other billions should stay away from these scammers. WHAT a JOKE- except the joke will be ON YOU>

If not a scam, very close

In an embarrassing moment of weakness I succumbed to a high pressure sales pitch in Savannah and spent $2000 for a membership. We were able to book a mediocre condo in Florida for a week for a reasonable price, but have been otherwise unable to find anything of interest at a time or location that we could not book online at similar prices. The promised savings are basically a mirage. At best you are paying for a travel agent with more limitations than one would encounter with a typical travel agent or by booking yourself online.
I have made no attempt to recover my money since the terms of the agreement are completely stacked against the client. Like many people I consider myself reasonably astute which makes it even more puzzling that I would waste this much money on a scheme like this. If the deal was as good as the sales people claim there would be no need to employ giveaways and slick sales types.

Don't Do It!!

We stopped at a tour company office on Meeting Street in Charleston to ask about carriage ride and were told we could get over $100 worth of coupons by going to a presentation from Low Country Tours and Attractions aka Vacation Inspirations. We went the next morning and the price to join this went from $8999.95 to $2300 in an hour. When Greg asked why we weren't interested I said 'to drop a price that drastically-- seems shady.' His reply--"so if I left it at $6995, you would have been happier?" I told him prior to that, that we would need to discuss it and he said, "you mean go to a restaurant and talk to the waitress?" They were arrogant and snotty, and once we said no, we never saw any of them again and when we left they were no where to be seen---behind closed doors. I went back to the tour company the next day to discuss the behavior and there were 2 guys there--not the woman who arranged this for us, and the response from them?? "My parents use it all the time--Any jerk can post a negative--and "Enjoy your coupons!!!" I believe they are all tied together and the tour company gets a kickback on anything sold. The reviews are horrible on this company and for sure these guys didn't want us to have time to see them. They promised at the beginning of the presentation the it would be nothing like a time share presentation---(it wasn't--it was worse), and that they would only keep us for an hour (plus 30 minutes of extra pushing and rudeness.)

SCAM SCAM

We went to Charleston SC for vacation and stopped by the tourism info center who told us about this presentation. They gave us the local free attraction tickets to lure us in. The presentation was great and with the impression of "saving money", we signed up for the membership. Once we tried to use the membership, we realize that there is NO savings. The price they quoted are more expensive or the same as the one you could get online. The condo weeks location are limited and it's not a nice accommodation. We tried to cancel our membership and was told that we can't. Please Please be aware of this operator. They are dishonest.

Red Flag

We were just in Charleston SC and got suckered into sitting through a presentation. Not sure if same company because paperwork says Lowcountry Cruises, tours and worldwide travel with locations on Meeting St., Vendue Range and East Bay St. It sounded like a good deal but I'm not good when lots of info is thrown at me at once. Price went from 8995 to 6995 to 3995 with fee waived, 4 extra memberships, rebate checks, etc. Way too much going on. I told them I don't make quick decisions and would need time to research. They offered to show me reviews on their computer. They also asked me what type of research I would do. We told them no thanks but got 2 tickets to Patriots Point, Fort Sumter, Boone Hall and $50 check if it doesn't bounce. Thanks John. You were a pleasure to talk to even though you're a scam artist.
