Scam and lies
My mom got her toy poodle from Velvet Touch back when she was still breeding Poms and Chi's as well as poodles and yorkies. He's about 10 years old now and has Cushing's disease (not a breeding issue from what I've heard). He's also 12lbs. I got my std. poodle from the Poodle Rescue in Houston, and he's had no health problems. People...a breeder can NOT guarantee health, size, color, etc. If you want to know exactly what you are going to get, adopt an adult dog in a reputable rescue. Not only will you have a much better chance of getting the exact type of dog you want, you save a life instead of encouraging more and more dogs being born. Obviously Velvet Touch doesn't care that people like Tammy (the comment above) are breeding those dogs with other dogs compounding the overpopulation problem without even adding the benefit of improving or maintaining the breed standard. I can't say I feel too sorry for someone who would waste $3000 on a dog that's only been born to make money for the breeder!

Scam and lies
Still think Velvet Touch is a responsible breeding facility. Check out this link: http://smallestpoodle4u.com/index.html
That is another breeder thanking Velvet Touch for their teacup dogs which they now breed. Not only do they breed more poodles they are breeding "designer" dogs...poodles mixed with maltese. I found 2 other breeders claiming their dogs are from Velvet Touch. Would a "reputable" breeder allow this to happen to her dogs?

Scam and lies
In 2003 we bought a tiny teacup yorkie from Janet .. We wanted a small yorkie and that is what she promised us and what we got.. We were able to see mom and dad, before choosing .. Our Tiffy Lu is 3lbs and is eight years old. She is as adorable the day we bought her.. Janet delivered exactly what we wanted.. I would easily buy another puppy from her again.. We were even talking about today.. I have three yorkies.. My first two were from a pet store, , that will never happen again.. She raises her puppies with love and care, and makes sure they are healthy before leaving her kennel. I applaud her business.. We shall return to again for another little joy to add to our family!
