cost, lack of response, grievance filed without so much as an acknowledgment...the list goes on!
Beginning of 3rd term. Had issues changing from one specialty to another last term; dept chair took their sweet time approving the change. I had to write the Ombudsman before they reacted at all --- and even then it wook two more weeks to get my request through. I'm a straight "A" 4.0 student but the following term, the one I was enrolled in as we speak, my grades dove to Cs. I filled out a Leave Of Absence and now they're taking their sweet time sending the money back to the lender. I'm going to contact the lender and let them know what is going on. I'm also submitting a complaint to The Minnesota Board of Education regardless. If anybody starts a class action suit post it here, I'll be more than happy to add my name to the docket. For those who are saying Walden's just in it for the money, it is a "for profit" institution. What does that mean? It means they are supposed to place you into a job when you graduate - perhaps this is why so many of their own graduates end up working for them. Look it up, "For profit educational institutes." You'll see it plain as day.

stay away from this university!
don't go to this university, it is a total scam! I went for their doctoral study program and I regret a lot - these people simply don't care of their students, there is no any education, just a waste of money. Beware and better avoid this place!

WU, an observation
I am not a Walden grad, supporter or employee--just an observer.
I had recent disappointment supervised by a Walden doctoral candidate. As I am significantly more experienced in the field than he I was not surprised by his lack of skill. I was taken aback by his sophomoric, at best, practical knowledge. In fact in my 20+ years of practice I can't recall a less knowledgeable supervisor. Suggestions and feedback were barely undergrad level--some were almost unintelligible, often pedantic and sometimes embarrassing. He, perhaps, was not embarrassed as he seemed to know no better. He didn't even understand some basic HIPAA requirements.
Hence, I decided to review his study and found out why he rarely mentioned Walden's name. I had never heard of Walden (except Thoreau's book) before. Then, I started wondering how such hack could be a doctoral candidate at any legitimate university. The answer is obvious.
Oddly, when one looks for reviews of let's say an average state U, one might see complaints about tuition, certain department chairs, sports teams or dorms and etc. Never any concern about their relative academics, legitimacy or accreditation. None. In other words, established and well accepted universities do not get such "mixed reviews."
Also, I wonder, why most of the complaints on these sites regard WU students being milked out of time and money (the basis of a class action) are not so concerned if such a degree is worth any collegial respect--I'd guess from such commentary--very little. In fact, I think, one would have to be quite gullible to give their time or money to such an enterprise and further I'd seriously doubt any employer (except the Feds) taking such dubious credentials or dupes seriously. Or, because complaints center around time and money, perhaps these victims are actually participants in a scheme of an easier softer way to Ph.D. Who knows really? More wonder.
At least stating graduating Bullwinkle's alma mater, Wossamotta U, might be more fun--not what appears to be a deception of self or the public.
I say this as a comment for the public good as a matter of personal opinion from simple observation.
