Deceptive Dealings
We went to the presentation in Vegas and joined the club. When we got home I read the fine print. There was a clause which I didnt like stating that they have the right to cancel our membership in 2014. I called Florida and the person said they will ammend the contract. I called the person we dealt with in Vegas and he said to cancel the contract prior to 3 days, as per contract, which we did. Florida later sent an ammendment where they removed the clause. I decided to go ahead and cancel my contract after reading this site and the complaints. They credited my Mastercard that day. They charged me a small fee, which was stated in the contract. I don't know the details of other people's cpmplaints but I think most of the problems could have been avoided had they read the "fine print" My only concern is they don't have enough resorts to accommodate all their members. In other words when you want a room there is nothing available. Is there any happy members out there who could post their comments. I'm starting to have second thoughts about cancelling.

Deceptive Dealings
Purchased Westgate Travel Club in April of 2011. We stayed at Westgate Flamingo Bay in Las Vegas December 2011. The property was beautifully maintained and the service was very friendly. We also used Westgate Cruise and Travel to book our airfare with the customer service representative over the phone. The service was excellent. We have booked a cruise for the Carribean for June of this year and recieved an additional $500 off of our cruise using our travel credits. I also have read many of the complaints about Westgate, but they all seem to be from people who took timeshare tours and weren't happy with the way they were treated. This was definitely not my wife and I's experience with the staff of the Travel Club in Las Vegas.

Westgate Travel Club
My wife and I attended a Westgate Travel Club presentation on Wednesday 5/22/2013 at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa, Gatlinburg TN. Our appointment was 9:15 am for the 60 to 90 minute presentation. Our agent was good and used every trick in the book to get us to buy. We did not buy but had to wait until 2:00 pm for Joe the corporate guy to sign off that our presentation meeting was over. If Joe is the best their corporation has to offer they should consider sending him to Anger Management School. When someone tells you that you can only buy on this day only, you know you have a problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry we brought with westgate
My husband and I were talked into buying with westgate in 2013 big mistake . We where deceive from day one. The sales lady was Wanda R. And she told us how she would be there for us and how we would save money and easy it would to book vacations. But after we signed on the dotted lines she was no where to be found and we can't even get a villa on the property we paid for . The whole ordeal has been a mess.

Horrable room and service
Room had alot of broken or worn out stuff like broken end table and coffee table. The bath tub drain wouldnt open after the tub was filled the hideabed materess was totaly shot ,my son couldnt lay on it the washer didnt work shoddy workmanship around bath sinks. Water damage on ceiling. Elevators so loud it seemed like we were in an amusment park. They changed our room to an even worse one so we had to stay in the first one. They said we could down grade to a stuido. We paid for a normal room before our time share started that room was better
. Why did i pay 10000 and maintenance fees to down grade from my 100 dollar room worst stay ever to add insult the sales man told me he qould take care of the problem to see him sunday morning which was my last day to stay there and was mothers day he only wanted to upsell me to a larger tuneshare and got pissed at me when i walked outafter 3 hours of wasting my time .
