Awful service
Same experience here. Still fighting to get money back. Why don't they have any alert while initiating transfer. Hope othere stay away.

Personal information
Xoom.com all of a sudden wanted all my personal info., they want copys of my ID, Bank account, Credit card Statements, Pay Stubs, Utility bills, Employers address and phone number and my Occupation. Now why would a company that transfers funds want all that. Western Union never asked for this information. BE VERY CAREFUL OF XOOM.COM.

cancelled my account for no reason
Xoom.com sent me email claiming that i broke some rules. All i used it for was to send money to my fiancee and friend in PI. I sent a email to appeal the decision. THey said the ruling stands and did not and would not explain why. I still dont know what happened.

be careful wtih them!
I made a purchase from this company but I decided to cancel my order. Well they overcharged me even after the order was cancelled and refused in a refund! At the moment they simply ignore all my claims! Beware and be careful with them!
