5-year warranty which you can't use

Biddeford Blankets offering a five-year warranty but you can't use it. I bought an electric Biddeford Blanket and it stopped working in two years I tried to use my five-year warranty for the blanke. I fill all reports they gave me at biddefordblankets.com and I never get a reply. Don't buy Biddeford Blankets because if they become defunct, you won't get a replacement!

no response from customer service

Evidently Biddeford – they don't care about their customers, very bad service!
I bought a mattress from them and one or the controllers stopped working. The item is under warranty. I called them several times – they didn't reply, even when I managed to get through they said that they are too busy and promised to call me back. They never did.

electric blanket won't work

Hi, this is really more of an inquiry than a complaint. I have a twin size Biddeford electric blanket that has quit working. I'm thinking there is a problem with the controller but perhaps a service person could advise me. When I turn the controller on it goes to "E" and cannot be convinced to do anything else. I can turn it off, but get no response from the temp setting up and down buttons. The only #s I have to help you are from the controller Lot No:050103 and from the blanket E236A. We loved this little blanket and I'd like to have it working again if you might advise me how to accomplish that I would greatly appreciate someone getting back to me. Thank you. Bonny Glover

No response from 800 call number

We have a question about getting our electric blanket, which we purchased in Feb. 2012, repaired. We have left 3 messages on 3 different days and no one has returned our call.

No response from 800 call number/Not honoring warranty

I have a king heated mattress pad that has one of its controllers giving me the "E" of death. I have contacted Biddeford customer service via their "800" number and left 3 separate messages. Although the message you hear states you will receive a return call at their earliest convenience, I have not heard anything. This unit is about 2yrs old, well within the stated 5yr warranty. This is disgusting customer service. Very sad that companies can play these games with consumers without any repercussions.

electric mattress pad

I bought an electric full-size mattress pad for my son for Christmas from Biddeford, and when I put it on his bed this morning, it did not heat up either on high or low. I called the store where they bought it and they said it cannot be returned if I have had it over a month. I bought it a little over a month ago on December 5, 2013. It is brand new and never been used. I called the company (Biddeford) at two different numbers and their tape says they will call back but they haven't and probably never will.

plug into throw fried & burned sheet too

My son turned on his elec. throw & thereafter saw plug had sparked, frying plug into throw AND burned sheet. This could definitely(!!) have caught the blankets, mattress, room, house and our family on FIRE!!!! Less than a year and the heated quilted mattress pad is not working. It was a gift so I have no recourse

This was a gift from a friend and it was a heated quilted mattress pad. I have only had it a few months and it is no longer working.
It is under the name of St. Cloud but is really a Biddeford. I am out a heated mattress pad. Will never buy anything Biddeford again.

no return calls on a 5 year warranty

We purchased an electric heating pad on a Friday. Plugged it in to use it the first day and both of the controllers did not work. Went online and filled out the registration card and made a phone call. Left messages for three days straight, still waiting on a return call. Probably wont get a call back. Will make sure I tell everyone I know not to purchase a Biddeford product.

Blanket DOESNT HEAT UP.

I purchased a Biddeford Electric blanket for MYSELF, Christmas 2013. I was SO HAPPY to purchase it since it was going to ONLY BE 8 degrees that night. I took the blanket in, got it all set up on my bed, turned the blanket ON so that I would have a nice warm bed to get into, when I was ready for bed. My room IS the COLDEST ROOM in the house, so I NEED to be WARM, since I AM DISABLED. I went to bed that night, got into bed expecting the bed to be nice and "toasty", it was ICE COLD. I double checked ALL connections and plugs. They were ALL working. I turned the controller all the way up and it still NEVER got warm. Well, I put my "Old" electric blanket down as a "Mattress pad, under the sheets. I turned it on JUST TO GET WARM. I took the blanket back to where I purchased it. They "Traded it" for a different one. I am having the SAME PROBLEMS with the new one. Plug in it, turn it on and it DOESNT GET WARM. I have to turn on my OLD electric blanket. When it gets warm, it heats the Biddeford blanket so that I am getting into a "Warm Bed"

I TRIED taking it BACK to the store I purchased it from. They told me they could ONLY EXCHANGE IT FOR A NEW ONE. They could NOT give me my MONEY BACK, even though I HAVE THE RECEIPT. I chose the option of taking a 3rd one since it WAS MY ONLY OPTION. SO, here I am with the 3rd blanket and STILL THE SAME THING. You plug it in, turn it on, and NOTHING. This one though, I turned it ALL THE WAY UP, and THIS ONE DID get a LITTLE WARM, as if I had the dial on 1, instead of 9. I used MY Disability check to purchase this for myself. I figured my HEALTH is MORE IMPORTANT then paying a bill. I can play "catch up" on it over the next few months. NOW, I WISHED I WOULD OF PAID MY BILL INSTEAD OF PURCHASING THIS JUNK BLANKET. I TRIED calling the company and got NO RESPONSE. I found an email address where I could email them. I told them in the email: I am HIGHLY UPSET. I AM DISABLED and on a VERY LIMITED INCOME. I purchased one of YOUR BLANKETS instead of paying MY BILLS, ONLY TO FIND OUT, THEY ARE JUNK. This is the 3rd one I have had in a week's time. They DONT HEAT UP. The store I purchased the blanket at will NOT issue me a REFUND. They told me I can ONLY SWAP THEM for a new blanket. They told me to contact the company for a refund. SO, I am contacting the company. I would like to return your JUNK BLANKET for a REFUND. I got a response back saying: Sorry to hear your disabled. We DONT issue refunds or NEW PRODUCTS. You HAVE to take them to the store where you purchased them from. ALL they do is "pass the buck" becuase THEY DONT want to take responsibility of THEIR PRODUCT. ALL I can say is: My cat is going to have a NICE SOFT blanket to curl up in. I DONT WANT THE JUNK IN MY ROOM.

only 1 half of electric blanket works

Purchase last year did not think to contact you till I place warranty on mat pad, blanket did not work would not take back at store , I purchased two of the blankets one worked fine the other does not is there anything that can be done, I would gladly return to you for another . Please let me know if you can do anything for me.

Heated Throw quit working

Christmas present for my wife stopped working four days after purchase. We exchanged the product at target for another Biddeford throw and this one lasted three weeks and is now not heating above level two. This is a crap product. We are returning this tomorrow.

controller

If I had only read all the problems folks had before I bought their electric blanket, I would not be writing this I too, had called customer service many many times with no return calls. Just purchased electric duel control blanket at christmas 2013 and now in March one controller stopped working . Their product is junk with no customer service There are many other manufacturers to choose from so don't make the same mistake I did, buy another brand. Biddeford is not a good company. Target should not carry this product.!

Poor customer service

I have a Biddeford electric blanket that is only one year old and the controller will only display "E" and the blanket will not heat up. I have called and left messages (as instructed on their website" for warranty information and return and have not gotten any response. They don't have any other options to contact them, and you can't return it unless they provide a RA number. Very bad customer service.

E message fixed

We had the same problem. Our controller display just said "E". for us it meant that the controller cord was disconnected from the mattress pad at the foot of the bed. Try that.

no customer service

Bought a Biddeford king electric blanket one year ago.Was satisfied till the coldest day of the year.Always warm up the bed and half of it was cold.We had a new one for a spare and hooked it up and controller burned up as soon as it was plugged in.I made two phone calls and no return calls were made to me.Wish I would have read the reviews before I bought this product.Went to Walmart and bought a different brand blanket and at least it worked.NEVER BUY A BIDDEFORD PRODUCT AGAIN.They should ban these products from being sold in America.

Worst. Blanket. EVER.

I've exchanged 2 of these electric throws at Kohl's. Every blanket has had the same issue. They work for a few weeks, then they only work in spots, and then they just stop working altogether. Customer service is a joke. I seriously think the company is just some dude running it out of his mom's basement. Horrible product. I wish I had read the reviews before I sunk $130 into this piece of crap. I will be returning the 3rd blanket and demanding my money back tomorrow.

No Answer at Customer Service

Bought TWO 3 years ago. One stopped heating, but the controllers light up. The other one works fine. Cannot return without authorization number, AND must pay to ship it back, according to their website. I never heard of a company that does not allow email or phone calls! I phoned 12 times and sent one warranty email.
This queen-sized mattress pad retailed for $139.99, although it was on sale. For that price, I expected it to work 10 years at least! After all, it is only used during the winter, 4 months out of the year.

Wish I'd Known Aout This Sight

What a piece of crap! Lasted 2 months. No one answers phones or returns calls. Booklet has 3 DIFFERENT instructions for obtaining repair/replacement and can't even get internet site to email. After reading several of these complaints, I guess I should just be happy that I'm still alive and have had no fires. What a piece of total worthless garbage!

Almost caused fire

My daughter said she smelled fire turns out the hested blanket I bought for Christmas had burned coils from the connection to the blanket. Very unsafe. Please call me about this dangerous blsnket

Worst Customer Serrvice Ever

DO NOT BUY A BIDDIFORD BLANKET!!!!!!!!! Stopped working after a very short time thid adbled old man is stuck with it and I can not afford another.e. No one at Biddeford will answer the phone nor return calls. Looks like this old man is stuck with it and I cannot afford another.
