Probably Scam
I ordered a dress in February and they charged me right away. Did not receive a confirmation email. Two weeks letter I got an email in poor english...asking for "a little more time to properly make the dress". When I emailed to ask for a shipping date, they answered
"when do you need it?". I told them April 1st and they answed with "no worries...rest assured." I asked via live chat for shipping info and they replied "2-3 days." As you can see, it's April 2 and no dress. After reading some of the reviews from people with similar experiences, I am fairly certain I will never get a dress (or a refund). I am thinking that the positive reviews are not valid reviews.

shining dress
I ordered a dress from this website almost a month ago for my senior prom. the max amount of time that they need to "tailor" it is supposed to be 20-30 days. I have now waited almost 35 days and I still haven't even received a shipping code, which I'm assuming means it hasn't even been shipped yet. I'v sent them about 15-20 emails in all over the course of the last two weeks basically asking for the shipping status of my dress and why it is taking so long. All I've received in return are weirdly worded emails which lead me to assume that either their responders are on drugs or have never attended an english class in their lives. Every email tells me "not to worry" and that they will "contact their shipping department" to see about my order and to get back to me. I've spent the last 2 days begging them for any information on my dress, even demanding that it be overnight shipped. I have yet to receive a coherent email or any sign that they will even be sending me my dress. They have not once emailed me back with information. My prom is tomorrow so I'm guessing I'm going to have to frantically find a dress today and fork over even more money. I do not have high hopes on ever receiving my dress. Whatever you do, do not ever order from this company. its incredibly time consuming and you will either receive your product throughly damaged or it wont come at all.

I am a 72 year old grandmother who adopted 4 grandchildren, live on a fixed income. Daughter needed a prom dress. Ordered a size 2, they sent a size 6. Thought is was odd that no return slip was included, no phone number to call. Within a few hours we contacted them by email, only option given, replied with this sob story about how hard their employees work and the cost of returning a dress to them, blah blah. Requested information and return slip to return dress. Reply, we will pay to have it altered. How can you alter a size 6 down to a size 2, really? Sent reply had tailor look at dress, almost impossible to do without losing some of the bling etc. Requested info to return dress. they offered to let us keep dress with partial refund. Can't afford to do this, not acceptable and not what your refund policy states. Much more dialog still no return info sent to us. We now must find a size 2 at this late date, but even when we find one it will not be the dress she wanted. This young lady is 92 pounds, barely 4ft tall. We want our money returned in full including cost of dress, taxes and shipping. We did not make a mistake, the company did. Why should we be expected to not get a full refund? The company made the mistake they should take the loss not the customer who did everything correctly.What kind of shoddy business are you running. Is this how you do things in the UK?

So disappointed as I found my ideal perfect graduation dress on this website and the whole thing was a scam I'm just glad I paid via PayPal so managed to get my dress back. Absolutely useless customer service and I warn everyone off buying from here. Luckily I ordered my dress well in advance prior to my graduation so have managed to find another dress but still pretty disappointed as I fell in love with the dress on the website.

Never got it
We ordered the dress in January and they took the money immediately even before we got notice that the dress was mailed. Then by March when we still didn't have the dress we emailed asking when it would be sent. We got a polite email stating that the dress was in the process of being made. Two weeks later we still did not have the dress. The occassion for the dress had passed so we again emailed the company and again they said it was being made. We responded that we now want a refund for the dress, and they said that it would take 7-10 business days. Well, we never received that either. I finally had to get my bank card involved to get a refund. If this is the way this company does business, I don't know about you, but I would not take the chance of ordering another dress from this company.

Do not buy anything from this website .. Yes they seem nice but I believe they are a scam I bought two dresses 2 months ago and I still have not received anything be very careful . I spent good money and I'm trying to warn you all now !

very disappointed
I am very sad and angry because on the website it says that it could take from 17 to 20 days
for tailor the dress most about 3 for delivery.
Today is May 6 and what they are able to have an answer is that they are sorry for the delay.
The site does not make me register always gives me error record, no one has even called me, but the payment they wanted it right immediately.
I have the wedding of my best friend May 18, and I'm one of the bridesmaids
and risk of not having the dress for this occasion so important.
Really sad. In more since I said that if I do not receive the order until 15/05 I want the money back I have no
answer.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I ordered a dress in January for prom in April. It was promised to me in 5-6 weeks and after 10 weeks, I still had only a vague idea of when the dress would be delivered. I canceled my order which took 2 weeks to do and now I have been waiting 6 weeks for my refund.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Never received dress
I bought two dresses from shiningdress I never received them its been two month now . Pleaseeee please do not buy from them It's wrong that they STEAL people's money I see they have a good reviews but this is true I spent 301 dollars they have been avoiding me I don't care if I have to go to every website I will try my best to keep this from happening to others

I don't Believe any of these comments I see here . This website is about the WORST ever. Here is WHY
3 months a go I had an event that I had to attend On a certain date I ordered my dress about a month before that
So I can make sure that It comes on time . I bought two dresses and the YILIA lady told me it will be here on time .
So My date arrived I missed the event because My dresses did not come So I went and spoke to them and they gave me this explanation about how the dresses were not ready to give them 10 more days , So I thought OKAY 10 days passed No dresses so I started to worry that this could be a scam and I wrote them and this told me the one of the dresses passed inspections the other one did not and we exchanged about 100 and more messages and Im still here with no dresses no money I spent 301 dollars on this website . ALL I have to say is . DONT BUY FROM THEM ... I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE HAVE POSITIVE COMMENTS FOR THEM BUT THEN AGAIN THESE PEOPLE MIGHT BE WORKING FOR THEM ,
SO BECAREFUL !

I order a red sequin gown from your company and was very dissatified with the gown. I had Rhinestones falling off the dress before I could put it on. I order the dress in March and send it back to the company two day later and still have not been recieve my money back yet. I will never order from your company again.

Still Waiting for my REFUND!
I ordered a dress on Feb 4th They couldn't deliver it to me by April 20th , even after several conversations with them saying they could. They kept telling me not to worry I'd have it in time. Well April 20th came and went and guess what ? No Dress. I asked for a refund. It is now Oct 7th 2013 6 month later and still have not received a refund. I keep emailing customer service , I get the same BLAH BLAH BLAH . That their financial department is very busy and I'll have to wait. Isn't 6 months a little long????? Same story just a different day.
