sent a letter to them as well, sent it special delivery, cost me £5, but wanted to make sure they couldn't say they didn't get it, even sent them a reply envelope with a stamp on it, as yet no reply, can you imagine the interest that they are scamming of people like us

How to beat them at their own game
I have recently fell for the AK scam. But I was too quick for them. What I have done may inconvenience you but it is a way to stop them in their tracks.
At first I was totally sucked in by them, but when I recieved their email with their crappy list of loan providers, which included Provident, the alarm bells went off. I phoned up the company and they said they would send me another list of loans companies and on that email would be an option for me to cancell the agreement. Did it come NO!
And I was told in contradiction to the original agreement, which stated that I would only pay the £78 when I had accepted a loan, that I would be charged regardless on fri the 30th of march. However they were so kind as to put me off my guard by saying they would move this payment to the 6th of april.
So I phoned up my bank and explained the situation and that I was worried that I had given them the long number on my debit card.
Bingo cancel your card they said and they will be blocked. I have done this and it will not effect any of my direct debits etc.
When I get my new card in 6 days it will have a new long number on it and they will not be able to access my card or make any transactions. But the beauty of all this is that from today the bastards can not get a single penny off me

hi again everyone i said i would let you no how it goes with my refund well i finally had it refunded last week after been given 4 different dates that it would credit my account then finally i had it returned i just kept calling them and them finally returned my money hope you all get the same outcome x

Are you joking i have just took a loan out with you and now i am reading all of these complaints i have given you my bank details and from what im reading i am not going to receive anything?? I am fuming about this !! i hope i receive this email or its the fraud squad!!

hi all....well I too was duped by these pack of thieving bastarts.....I was told a charge of £29 and was told i had a loan....next thing i know i got a pile of bumf and thought nah balls to that.....then £79 left my back i was furious!!...i phoned then and was told it was a consultation fee!!!....anyway i read my t&c,s and found out i had 14 day cooling period, they took the money on day 13 so i phoned immediately and was told to email so i did...anyway was told that i would get it back WITHIN 30 days....tomorrow is day 30 and was told it would be paid then....I have just phoned to be told that it will leave their account tomoorw and could take up to 5 days!!!....what a horrible pack of thieving bastard these people are they lie and steal so stay away.....as soon as i get my money back i am officially complaining them to financial ombudsmen, they cant get away with this

spoke to ak management friday gave them card details told i would recieve an email still waiting 3 days after phoned them and they just keep putting me on hold then the line goes dead i am sure that this is a proper scam

hi, i recieved a text message on the 2nd of june thanking me for my payment i did not agree and on your terms an conditions on your letter you can only take money from my account with my permission witch i never would if the money is not returned to my account by lunch time tomorrow i will phone the police for theft and also go to my bank and tell them that you stole money from my account this is not a threat it is a fact i will go to my cash machine tomorrow at 1pm if the money is not in the bank i will act on my complaint

HI.
I have been scammed by this company!!
I joust spoke to my Bank, Lloyds TSB.
Basically they said that by giving my bank details to the company, I agreed to their terms and conditions and that I have been taught a valuable lesson....
I'm not sure who I am most pissed at,
Me for giving these details, even though it was for money to be paid in to my account, not to be taken out !!!!
AKManagment for Ripping me off and not doing anything other than take money from me... They said I received a certificate, NO I DIDN'T!!
Or Lloyd's for turning their SMUG BACK on me!!!
I suggest we all meet outside AKM's offices in 7 days and hold a protest, invite the national press and move for these scam artists to be closed down through national awareness. I'd like to publicly voice my annoyance at Lloyd's also!!!

I asked you if you were taking money out my account you advised no but then told me of the fee i advised then that i did not want to go ahead as i was not paying any fee you now have taken my money out my bank after me stating i was not going ahead you also told me my bank details was for a credit check!!!!!!!!!! and no money will go out my account!!!!! if my money is not back in my account by the close of business or i don't get a phone call i am going to the police!!! and i will be reporting you to FSA and i will be seeing a solicitor and WILL BE CLAIMING COMPINSATION!!!! FOR MY TIME AND MONEY LOST!!!!!!!!!!

i also have had the same problem they called me asking me if i needed a loan with them and i told them i was not in need of their services, then they told me to email them to say that i didnt need there services so i did but still had 79 taken from me so i called them for them to tell me that i would need to send another email which i did then had to send several more after plus a phone call telling them to get a move on and give me a refund which they finally agreed to less of 5 pounds due to terms and conditions which i should not of been subjected to be i did not agree to have the money taken out they said it would be with me in 30 days after 30 days i had nothing so gave them a call then they said it would be with me 27th of august didnt realize it was a bank holiday till later on stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the bank holiday three days later and still nothing and i cant get hold of them SCAM! ive just moved home and 79 pound may sound a small amount but is very much needed right now been to citizens advise who have said i can take legal action

I have spoken to them told me they wouldn't take any money from my account unless I got a loan from them .... I have had no loan or nothing and they have taken £79 called them waited on hold for over half an hour to be told no hey wont refund etc! I am now getting my bank involved! I will get this money back if it kills me! Its a lot of money to take from someone who doesn't have any money themselves! The whole reason I was looking for a loan was to help me out of a difficult financial situation but now I am in an even worse situation!! I am not happy at all!!!!

AK Managment are a joke! apparently trading standards are more their happy with their transcript. In other words that bullshit blag to con people like us out ofour of money is ok! they're are scumbags, no different to a low life theif! conning people for a living is allowed then I see. I am absolutely furious with these people they are a joke. Basically taken food out my children mouths. They need reporting to someone higher up who's in a position to get people like us our money back. Fuming Fuming fuming!!!!

Claimed Refund
I have had the £79.00 taken from my account today, I contacted AK Management and told them that I did not recieve a loan and was told that I would only receive this charge when I received a payment from a loan company. The Woman I spoke to from customer services called Emma (aparently this is the only name she is obliged to give me) had an appauling attitude and was actually shouting down the phone to me! I would advise anyone that has had the same problem to contact your bank and tell them that AK Managment had no right to take this money and they will claim the money back from them this is what I have done and my bank have credited me the £79.00. Ive had the same thing happen 2 me.Told me exactly the same no money taken, till loan in account,but £79.00 taken out but no loan.Im on JSA and cannot afford to lose this money,especially as it has now come out of my housing benefit.Landlord not gonna be happy,im certainly not.Ought to know better at my age[nearly 60].CAN ANYONE HELP??????.
