Talks down to Black people
I've been reading about how Steve Hardy caters to Black people, but I'm not in total agreement with that. I don't like the way he talks down to Black people. He feels just because he is black he can discredit or make fun of another black person. It makes me mad. He does not criticize white people like he does the blacks. He is always hollering at the blacks for how loud they talk or some of their answers. I am in agreement also that they talk too much about sex and they always have their minds in the gutter. I also feel that he needs to give more respect to religeous people such as Pastors and women. He doesn't cuss real bad but I don't think he should use the word "ass" or "damn" to them. I don't use that kind of language and I don't want anyone using it around me.

This is America?
50% White & 50% African American, how is it that there are no mixed race families? I know people get a rise from watching ordinary housewives say dirty things, but its so boring to only cast upstanding attractive middle class folks. I would really like to see the criteria to participate in the show. I never see people with piercings, tattoo's, unnatural colored hair, etc. For what I could research apparently all families go through an audition process. Sadly this audition process filters out regular ordinary people and leaves us with a bunch of sassy African Americans (which the host completely gushes over) and your standard white suburbanites (whom sometimes have a quirky comeback). You could easily put bags over their heads and never know that they switched out the families.
Oh yea, while I'm at it, what is with the really awful euphemisms for genitals? If someone says all bashfully *Down Below* the answer shouldn't be One Eyed Trouser Snake. I'm no prude, but damn its kind of unprofessional.

Disability Question
While I do not think that Steve Harvey favors African-Americans, I feel that some of the questions are insensitive to groups of people, including the ones with disabilities. He does not write the questions, he is an comedian who sometimes make jokes about the questions and answers.
On Thursday, June 4, 2015, I took offense to a question about what a person cannot do with one hand! I thought that the question, demonstrations from the contestants, and some of the answers were offensive to people with disabilities. With so many of our brave men and women returning from the war damaged forever, the people who approve the questions need to be more sensitive. No one wants to be reminded that there is something that they can no longer do.
I am an African-American female who grew up in rural Robeson County, North Carolina. As a result of an accidental shooting when I was five years old, I lost my right arm below the elbow. I had to adjust to that loss, but by the grace of God, and support from my family and friends, I have made it in life. I was able to graduate from college, have a long, lucrative career in law enforcement, marry and raise a family, all with one arm!

Disability Question
While I do not think that Steve Harvey favors African-Americans, I feel that some of the questions are insensitive to groups of people, including the ones with disabilities. He does not write the questions, but then, he is an comedian who sometimes makes jokes about the questions and contestants responses.
On Thursday, June 4, 2015, I took offense to a question about what a person cannot do with one hand! I thought that the question, demonstrations from the contestants, and some of the answers were offensive to people with disabilities. Then, again, these answers resulted from those surveyed. With so many of our brave men and women returning from the war damaged forever, the people who approve the questions need to be more sensitive. No one wants to be reminded that there is something that they can no longer do.

Answer: Lola the street Ho...Really
I love Steve Harvey and have watched this show for years with my family (young sons included) but the vulgarity is far more than I can take.
Examples:
Question 1: Fill in the blank. I would do blank for sex. Answer: Pay
Question 2: Where does a woman like to be kissed? Answer: Her breasts
Question 3: Where would a nude magician pull a rabbit out of? Answer: His ass...
Question 4: What would a woman not want to see her ex buy after their divorce? Answer: Lola the street Ho.
I'm done. This once great show has turned to trash. Clearly not meant for families to watch together.

Oh, trust me! It gets worse for the audience at commercial breaks!
OK, I've read through ALL of these comments. There is a lot of validity in them and then some, well, just whiny people. My family and I got past the 1st audition and went in for a FF show taping yesterday. Talk about a major eye opener! We didn't actually get to tape, but they may call us back at a later date for a taping. But here's the irony...by the end of the day, we were so disgusted with the whole process (and, admittedly, some of us with each other) that some of us didn't care whether they called back, and the others actually HOPED THEY DON'T call us back! If you think the answers on the board are bad, let me tell you...the potty-mouthed "comedy" gets even worse when the cameras stop rolling!!! UGH! It just insults people's intelligence and sense of class. I'll be writing about it in a book as soon as I can pull a good legal team together to cover my "ass"ets (oops, there I go with the crude puns, LOL!) If you feel like you have a VALID concern/complaint you wouldn't mind sharing/airing for a book (like the poster who was offended by the disability jokes/ridiculing), then I'd love to hear from you. I can include you anonymously or not. Email me at: [email protected]. Thank you!!!

Making fun of Southern Dialect-Speech
Last night (July 8, 2015) we watched Family Feud which featured two families, one from New Jersey and the other from Alabama. Steve Harvey, when talking to the family from Alabama, immediately made comments about how they speak and even imitated their Southern drawl in an exaggerated way a number of times. He even commented on how many syllables one of the players put into his words. Why is this acceptable? I know he is kidding to a degree, but he certainly didn't imitate the people from New Jersey, nor would he imitate Asians or Hispanics or even blacks in this way and go unpunished. Funny how it is so easy to get away with stereotyping and denigrating Southerners these days. If he will do this to all families then have at it. I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Oh, and enough with all of the tacky sexual references.

Rampant Ignorance
I have watched Family Feud since the "kissing" Richard Dawson days. I am troubled by the disgusting racist comments made by the posters, but appreciate you revealing yourself as the small, simple minded, prayerfully minute fraction of America, well sort of, because you're able to remain anonymous, much like hooded klansmen. I found this blog while looking to see if a black family was asked back after being X'd for saying relax, chill (in that order) in response to what would you do the day after getting fired, and were told it was the same as a previous answer, regroup, for which they were also X'd. The Asian family then responded, relax, and were able to steal and win the game, with, sleeping in, as the corresponding board answer. People see what they want to see, there are families on the show that represent the diversity of America, not just black and white, as some of you have erroneously stated. There have been several families that are even culturally diverse within themselves. The writers, judges, producers, etc decide the questions, board answers, buzzer time, etc. The board answers, as crude as they are, are not black street language, having worked in a culturally diverse organization, we all question who comes up with those crude, stupid responses. I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow and share this blog with my ethnically diverse, highly educated co-workers. All I can say is Wow, racism rears it's ugly head in some of the strangest places.

Family Feud is Racist and Nasty
Family Feud is prejudice, seldom having an Asian or Hispanic family on the show. Also, it's not family-oriented because it always has something sex-related in the question or answer. This is what's wrong with America, racism, prejudicism, and immorality.

Love the show & host
I love the show and the host. Harvey is a comedian, that's why he's the host. Steve Harvey brings an awesome diverse comedy to the show. Although, I have seen on the show where a contestant gave an incorrect answer was given credit for the answer. However, that's not Steve Harvey's fault, he takes direction from the judges, whom we do not get to see. Also these racist rants from some of you are so ugly and let's me know who the real racist are on this thread. If you don't like the show or the host don't watch it.

Not family friendly
I was watching and decided this show cannot be viewed by my family. Family feud is obscene, and whoever is formatting the questions needs to tone them down. Steve Harvey does show preference to certain families and I think the timed part at the end for 20,000 is made easier for some families.

Racistr
We had watched Family Feud for many, many years. Unfortunately, the show is now SO biased as to be ridiculous.
First, blacks make up 13% of the population (and growing), but make up about 50% of the participants. How can this be?
Also, black contestants are given FAR more time to answer questions than non-black participants. This is SO blatantly obvious
When answering a question, if a black person responds after the buzzer, Harvey looks at the judge and says " she said........", but when a non-black gets buzzed (sometimes very, very quickly), Harvey responds with a "sorry" and moves on.
This prejudice is so blatantly obvious, that it no long is fun to wafch the game show that has been our favorite for decade

Don't Be Silly!
I am dying laughing at some of the comments here. Steve Harvey is a comedian first and foremost. His comedic personality and humor is a big part of who he is and what, quite frankly, makes the Family Feud one of the HOTTEST and most viewed game shows on TV today. The show is called FAMILY FEUD but that does not mean that it is appropriate viewing for all members of a family. If you attend a taping of the show, you will see that no one under the age of 16 is allowed in the studio. So, you good God-fearing Christian home viewers should change the channel if the show offends you, find something suitable for younger members of you family to watch, OR simply turn off the TV and pick up a book. Steve Harvey is the HOST of the show. He does not develop the questions. Nor does he solicit responses from individuals polled/surveyed to provide answers to those developed questions. He does not personally select the families that are contestants on the show. That is the handiwork of the show producers and other entities. He is simply the HOST. So if you think that there are too many black families on the show, by all means communicate with the producers of the show. Plus, for all of the commenters being outraged that "............black people make up 12% of the population but make up 50% of the families on the show.........", I only ask that you display the same outrage whenever a discussion about Black people being 12% of the U.S. population but represent 60% of the incacerated in this country. I just hope that the same amount of faux morality is mustered up for that statistic as was for this show.

Ignorant People
I'm the first to agree that FF has changed dramatically and I believe all the horrible changes are 100% due to the writers, publishers, judges and answers used [which i believe are answers straight from a handful of judges or writers]. The show used to be family friendly and the answers were straight forward and simple and believable as what majorities would guess. But, now, UGH. I still watch it and I enjoy most of it, but it has really changed for the worst just to boost ratings.
But the ignorant beliefs and comments simply embarrass me to the moon and back, especially with regard to racism and favortism. I've seen Harvey give lots of people extra seconds and second chances, no matter their color. And there have been many other races of peoples on FF, asians, hispanics, etc. etc.
STOP THE STUPID STUFF PEOPLE - GET A GRIP and be a good sport without the BS

Wardrobe Malfunction???
Unfortunately, game shows that we used to watch in our youth have changed dramatically. IE: lack of intelligent questions, answers, as well as lack of mindful younger contestants and tasteful hosts. At the end of the day, all that matters are the ratings and bottom line $$$.(Sad but true.)
I personally don't see any racism in this show because I was raised to be color blind, so who cares if the families are white, black, beige, brown, purple, or green? Who cares? If you're so obsessed with the race of the contestants, then perhaps you should look within yourself and ask yourself why this really matters.
What matters to me is the fact that Mr.Harvey's hand seems to always find its way to his penile/testicular region. What is going on down there? Perhaps his tailor didn't take accurate measurements. Wardrobe malfunction? Wrong undergarments? Or perhaps he thinks it's alright to grab any body part of his that he wishes on national television. I find this very distasteful, as well as his incessantly tacky flirting with female contestants that sheepishly bleat to his nasty ass advances. (If I did any of this at work, I would be disciplined or perhaps even excused.) In the real world, this is sexual harassment; which are values we do not want to teach our families.
We used to watch FF as kids, but now we don't want to watch so much lack of intelligence, taste, and personal morals. It's really too bad.

Racist? Sexual questions?
Our family used to LOVE Family Fued, and it is still one show my 99 year old mother enjoys. But I am having a very hard time with the contestants that are chosen! And Steve Harvey!
First of all ... Why are so many questions related to sex???
Second. It seems that most every show is a black family against a white family, with the black family winning. I am NOT racist, but it appears Steve Harvey is, or the producers! Why is there NEVER an Asian, Spanish, or any other race for that matter. Or white against white, black vs black, etc.
With all the disruption in our nation with blacks versus whites (police, etc.), it seems that you are promoting the terrible problems we are already facing! I am still done with Family Fued, and you guys need to do something about the issues you are creating.

Getting worn out.
Man Steve Harvey was somewhat funny when he first became host now he's insanely childish. It's not his fault 8/10 questions are about sex but he could react more maturely. Instead he makes the same jokes. He'll act shocked & literally stop the show to laugh for 1000 hours because someone said "Penis.", as if questions like "Name a body part that resembles a food." don't suggest that. Then he makes the same jokes. If a pastor gives a sexual answer he'll say "Woah I need to head over to this church." If a 16 year old is about to answer a sexual question he'll say "Your mom & dad won't be too proud of this." and so on. Get some new material and stop slowing down the pace of the show.
