Sears does not manufacture the appliances we sell. Most appliances have a limited 1 year manufacturer's warranty, while others have warranties that can last for two or more years for parts. Beyond the manufacturer's warranty, Sears does have protection agreement warranties available for purchase, much like purchasing an extended automobile warranty. Bad mattress and return policy

Bought a new mattress in Nov 2011. We shopped around & Sears was comparable in price, but the deciding factor was the salesperson saying that we had SIX MONTHS to change our minds. (we didn't want to get stuck with an expensive, uncomfortable mattress!) It was delivered and we began trying to "adjust". We thought it was just us. We have had it for five months (and hated it the whole time). We just returned from a 10 day trip where we slept GREAT in 3 different hotel beds! We decided "it's not us!" So, I called the local SEARS to explain the problem. "No problem"...just come in and pick out what you want to exchange for, then call the "Sears Solution" number to give them the information. Went in last night, picked an upgrade (about $300 more - but worth it!) and was encouraged by the response of the salespeople. Ah, but it IS a problem! I called the "Solution" people & it seems the six months period was really only 30 days!!! Hmmm...I have JUST begun!

Save your money and don’t buy any appliances at sears and say no to extended service agreements

This is for the original poster...complaining about Sears. We have been loyal customers since April of 1982; service contracts on some things. OUR STORY...in 1993 we purchased a washing machine. About 5 years into it we needed service for a clogged hose. No problem. They came right out. THEN about 3 years after that, they came in & replaced the 'trans'...no cost. BUT last November something else went wrong...Low & behold...they sent me a voucher for $900!! and told me to go pick out a NEW machine, as they couldn't get the parts for mine!! Don't complain to ME about Sears!!

bad customer service

Their customer service is extremely rude and is probably the worst I've ever encountered. I went to return my pair of shoes and they couldn't find a receipt using my credit card information, so they didn't refund but said they'll exchange the pair for the other! But I don't want the exchange, I want a refund! They never smile and the managers are rude as hell. Beware!

they simly don't care of their customers

This company doesn't honour their warranty. They did air condition repair at my house and one week after their repair my air condition was broken again. They said that it is my problem and I have to pay for their visit. I will never recommend this company to anyone!

sells damaged items

Couple of month ago I purchased a new dishwasher from their store and I also paid for the delivery and installation and in two weeks the dishwasher stopper working. When I called this company they send me a maintenance man who never fixed the dishwasher, left the problem and tried to overcharge me. Claimed for a help again and the same store happened. I believe it is just a way how they do their money, all their items are already damaged! Beware and don't buy from them!

send me wrong item and didn't make an exchange

I purchased from them a King Grand Linen comforter but they send me wrong size. Send it back and claimed for an exchange and never received anything. Tried to contact them and asked for money back but it seems like they don't have any support service. Beware and don't buy from them!

gift card scam

I had their gift card and used it paying for my new table. They refused to accept it without a notice and I it seemed that I couldn't use it at all so it was absolutely useless and my friend who give it to me just wasted his money on this gift. beware and don't buy any gift card from them, it is unreliable!

unreliable company, poor employer

I will never recommend this company to anyone as an employer! They are really bad and they absolutely don't care of their people! small salaries, always late, ask you to work extra but never want you to pay a bit more and also they don't want to be responsible for their own mistakes and left all responsibility on the employees. Stay away and look for something more reliable!

unreliable company! sold me damaged item

I purchased a snow blower from this company and paid over $600 for it and it arrived damaged. I claimed for a repair under the warranty but this company refused me without a reason and I had to spend extra money to fix it. This company is unreliable, don't buy from them!

liars, misrepresentation of their offers

Beware and be careful dealing with this company! They do misrepresentation of their offers, discount and sales! I lost my money with them, I purchased their goods with 50% discount but later I was overcharged full price because of their misleading advertisement!

refund and warranty problems

Sears sells junk products and has problems with refund policy and their own warranty. These people simply ignore their customers if they have problems with their product and doesn't provide adequate help. Beware and better stay away from them!

sells defective items

This company provides really poor service for their customers.
I purchased furniture from them and I received damaged items. I contacted them about these damages and claimed for warranty but I never received any response. This company just sells damages items and doesn't care of their customers at all. Be careful if you still want to deal with this seller!

Our washing machine needed to be repaired, however, the company did not tell us that it was too old to do that, and made us buy a new agreement. Now we actually can’t do anything. Because they won’t repair the washing machine, and we do have this agreement.

WE WERE TRICKED

WE WERE MISINFORMED. WE WERE CHARGED $49 FOR SERVICE CONTRACT. which WE THOUGHT WAS A ONE TIME CHARGE..Instead we have been charged this amount monthly. To date $200.00 has been the charge. We feel you owe us a refund of $150.00.
