Keep them on the run
Keep the information coming! Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough of Calgary Alberta, they need to be put in the spotlight so they can't screw anyone else out of money. They have never run a successful business, They have never completed even one project in which they have received investor money for.
6 years ago Blaine was broke with out a penny to his name, Adam was just getting out of high school living with his parents. Both Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough never had any of their own assets or money tied up in these investments, These investments are merely a scam so Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough can live the high life, drive their Range Rovers, and Cadillac s, sit in coffee shops all day, surfing dating sites to cheat on their girlfriends.
Care to respond Blaine Kennedy or Adam Drybrough? What could you possibly say to defend you actions?
Anyone know which business name are they operating under at Dumbarton Square 4515. McLeod Trail South Calgary?

Fraud
If these two idiots are not scam artists, then why are they hiding, do not return phone calls or emails. Why did they shut down their office and not tell anyone they have moved to Dumbarton Sq off McLeod. Why have they screwed every single person or company they dealt with? Contractors, suppliers, property taxes, investors, ex staff, these guys take the prize. It will take time for the securities commission to do their investigation and Lucid will be in the same league as Shire, Concrete etc a sham and fraud. Hopefully investors will have been able to put enough pressure on their politicians and police and these low life's will start going to jail. Adam will make someone a very nice cell mate.

Fraud
If you are looking for either one of these jerks they now have an office at Dumbarton Square 4515. McLeod Trail South Calgary. Blaine is ultra paranoid and will have cameras and security monitoring everything. Blaines Escalade and Adams Land Rover will be in the lot.
Other investors they have screwed include those in Gregoire Estates in Fort McMurray, . What about the vacation rentals in the USA they raised money for, no houses...no rental income...where are those funds? These two incompetent jerks blame the recession on their demise...how could every single project they touched have failed? No business savy at all, just a couple common thiefs.

Are You People Even Investors?
are you people even investors? or just people with a vendetta and too much time on your hands? I have sat back and watched this crap long enough and need to step in and say something.
You claim that you have Adam and Blaine on the run and that they are hiding? well, I actually am an investor. Instead of spending all of my time on this blog making the situation worse and hurting my own investment, I picked up the phone and called these guys. Weird, they answered, and spent close to an hour on the phone with me. Maybe we just have different definitions of hiding?
You say these guys are hiding, yet you people hide behind your usernames and cast stones. Remember the story about those who live in glass houses folks? Unlike you I have no problem saying what my name is.
I am an investor in two lucid projects. Am I happy about how things have gone until this point? of course not. But did you not realize that these were high risk investments when you received an 18% return? did you not read the documents before you signed? Did you think the giant WARNING down the side of your paperwork when you signed up was just for effect? give me a break. The market turned, and if you live under a rock and haven't picked up a newspaper in three years, the market contracted just a bit. There was this thing called the global recession. Its easy to look back at 20/20 hindsight while standing on your soapboxes, but I am man enough to admit that when I invested I surely didn't realize the effects and length of this slow down. Now that we can all admit this: Is your investment and the projects Lucid worked on somehow immune to that?
As nomoreslander says below you may want to look up the definition of ponzi. Is anyone actually trying to claim that these guys didn't buy the land they say they were going to? I don't know about all of the projects, but I have pulled titles on the properties that I have invested in and there name is on them. Well, then I guess it isn't a ponzi scheme now is it?
Instead of publicly attacking the project that your own money is invested in along side my cash (if you people are even investors) why don't you chat with Adam or Blaine and see what's up? Like it or lump it, these guys are in this boat with us. You guys are just too stupid to realize that you are trying to sink the ship you are standing in.
Even if you don't agree with me on this and think these two are bad guys, get a lawyer and stop making your investment worth less by saying stupid BS on the internet. As someone with hundreds of thousands of dollars that I worked hard for and invested in to a couple of the projects that you idiots are slandering, I would appreciate if you would take this crap down and stop jeopardizing my investment at the same time

Last time I looked Calgary and Ft Mac are booming. To blame the global economic downturn is BS. Not paying contractors, vendors and taxes when Lucid has taken millions of dollars from investors is BS. John must have a secret hotline to Adam and Blaine to just pick up the phone and get through to them . I have talked to them too in the past myself and all I got were flat out lies. If Lucid had any respect for investors they would tell all of them what is going on. If you think anything posted to the internet has any impact on the success or failure of Lucid projects you are the stupid one. Lucid`s reputation as a legitimate venture is long gone not due to anything posted on the internet. ASC and Barlow banko documents spell out pretty clearly what Lucid is all about. Not to mention the past reputation of Blaine Kennedy and all of his past scams.

Let's see john you claim to not be afraid to use your name, let me guess your last name is Doe. I would bet this john doe guy is Adam, yes I would say Blaine is getting better at scamming people out of money, this time he bought the land which also have him a restaurant (flatiron) to run which owes over $90,000 in lease payments, and I'd bet many suppliers are also not getting paid.
If this is really john doe the only reason blaine kennedy and adam drybrough are still talking to you is because they think your stupid enough to give them more money, If you haven't figured it out yet I'll fill you in "your money is gone."
Most of us have lawyers and going after these crooks, I post here because people need to know who these guys are.

Integrity of Blaine Kennedy
If you want to talk about integrity, Kennedy has none. Lucid Investor John from below must be Adam or Blaine trying to bring some credibility to their pathetic lives. We all know investing is risky, but we should be protected from predators like you two jerks.
ASC denies registration of Harrington Capital Partners Inc. and Blaine Russell Kennedy
CALGARY, Feb. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - The Executive Director of the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has denied the application for registration of Harrington Capital Partners Inc. as an Exempt Market Dealer and Blaine Russell Kennedy as a Dealing Representative and the Ultimate Designated Person for Harrington.
Harrington Capital Partners and Kennedy had asked for the opportunity to be heard by ASC's Executive Director after ASC staff recommended refusal of their registration applications to the Executive Director.
The Executive Director concluded that Kennedy is unsuitable and objectionable as a registrant in Alberta on the grounds he has demonstrated "a lack of integrity and competence which is fundamental to being a registrant in the Alberta capital markets." Harrington Capital Partners' registration approval was dependent upon Kennedy being successful in his application, so accordingly its application was found not suitable.
The Executive Director also ordered that to the extent that Kennedy and Harrington were relying upon a registration exemption under section 16.7 of National Instrument 31-103 Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations, they were no longer entitled to rely upon that exemption.

And the Calgary authorities continue to play their fiddles and ignore the pleas-for-help of Ck3's endless parade of casualties. If the Calgary, Alberta, Canada authorities and regulatory agencies are striving to displace Dade/Broward counties, Florida as The Consumer Predator Capital of the Universe... they're succeeding.
18 July 2001. Today we received a copy of (hotlink) an article that appeared in the Calgary Herald newspaper. The article reads:

Three Calgarians face 22 charges for allegedly failing to pay their employees. Blaine Russell Kennedy and Annette and Conrad Cini, as directors of Ck3 Design Corp., are charged with five counts of non-payment of wages. Kennedy, as director of C Corp. "N.A. Ltd.," has been charged with six counts of non-payment of wages. Kennedy is also charged with one count of non-payment of wages as director of C Corp. "Automotive Design Inc." 22 June 2001. Sigh. We continue to receive MAJOR consumer complaints about Ck3 and principal Blaine Kennedy. One unlucky Colorado customer of this outfit alleges to have forfeited over $40,000 USD; yet another Virginia affiant (affidavit filer) alleges to have forfeited over $16,000 USD. And the municipal, provincial and federal authorities in Calgary do nothing. Nothing. In fact, the Calgary RCMP advised one of the affiants "There's nothing we can do to help you; hire a lawyer." With increasing evidence of a "Let 'em eat cake" attitude such as that, Alberta appears to be vying with Florida as the continent's epicenter of official/bureaucratic indifference to consumer allegations of fraud.
21 June 2001. Sigh. If you recall, in 1997 I exposed Ck3's "suite-sounding" address (1350 E. Flamingo Rd. Suite 704, Las Vegas 89112) as a mere "Mail Boxes Etc." post office box. I even provided you with a closeup photo of their deluxe "suite." The "suite" measured about 6"x6"x18" (or if you prefer, 15cm x 15cm x 46cm). They had been telling folks (including me) for many months that this address was their "research center." Sigh. Now it seems that there's yet another website with a "suite-sounding" Las Vegas address, allegedly selling Hummer parts and accessories (www.hummerparts.com). You guessed it: Network Solutions' reveals the contact information to be: Blaine Kennedy, c/o Advanced Definition Systems, Inc, 7649 West Lake Mead Rd. Suite # 200, Las Vegas, NV 89128. The toll-free phone number listed is 800-454-7627. I'd be willing to bet the farm that that number rings not in a shoebox-sized "suite" in Las Vegas, but in Calgary Alberta. Shucks, why not give 'em a (toll-free) call and find out for yourself. In any event, we haven't yet started to receive consumer complaints about "hummerparts.com."***

I spoke too hastily: with that brief posting above only two weeks ago, we've now been bombarded with customer complaints about that operation. Sigh. Back in May 1998 I was contacted by one Mr. Gabor Vinner, who identified himself as Ck3's legal counsel, stating that the "irregularities" of Ck3's operation had been addressed and corrected, and that Ck3 had begun an instalment payment arrangement to reimburse one of the firm's victims (Mike Shields of Baltimore, Maryland); he requested that I remove my reports of these incidents from our Consumer Alert page (which I did at that time), in return for which he would promptly send me information confirming his advisory and other items on my agenda of Ck3's alleged irregularities. The operative term here is "promptly." It's now early February 2002, and I'm still waiting.

one more thing Lucid Investor John and no more slander, I have tried to contact both Adam and Blaine for almost one year. I have left dozens of voice messages and over one hundred emails and have spoken to Blaine once. The conversation was a joke as he bold faced lied to me about my investment was condesending, argumentative and a complete jerk to deal with. Quite the opposite from when he wanted my investment money I'll tell you. Calling us stupid for speaking out about these two and their shady dealings is more insult. Maybe we wont get any of our investment back, but I want to make sure no one else gets fleeced by these two complete morons. If they had any balls they would have met with investors, told us there were problems and been up front. Instead they run and hide like the pathetic worms they are, complete morons and jack asses to deal with. Thank god the Alberta Securities Commission turned Kennedy down as a Registrant, at least nobody else will get scammed by him It will be great to watch them go after him when they get around to it. BTW, If you have such a direct pipeline to them both, and they will talk to you whenever you feel like it, let them know there are hundreds of pissed off investors who cant wait to see them get their justice. They can run but they cant hide.

What is the Lucid End Game?
I am trying to understand what the plan was for Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough? As near as I can figure they made just enough effort to develop projects and a few monthly interest payments to draw in as many investors in as they could. Then they did not pay contractors,taxes and other bills. Most of these folks now have placed liens against Lucid properties. This week foreclosure will start on the Ramsay property. This will leave Ramsay investors left to recover the crumbs left over, pennies on the dollar. So investors money was not spent to develop properties. Where did all the money go? I hear Adam Drybrough is declaring personal bankruptcy. My guess is likely a lot of the cash was squandered in an effort to expand the restaurant business. Take a look at far north side of Chinook mall and look at the plywood scar that was to be the flagship Flatiron. They also wasted money on ventures like Ya Ya Calgary, an internet coupon scheme that lasted all of six months. Somehow Ya Ya was able to be the highest bidder at the 2010 chuck tarp auction, paying $170K to sponsor Kelly Sutherland. I know that I did not intent to invest in fly by night internet ventures or the restaurant business. The only real way to know where the all the cash went is to put pressure on the RCMP and CPS to investigate. To date, the authorities have expressed no interest in pursuing an investigation of Lucid. We need to unite as investors to pressure the law to investigate this fraud!

I hear CHIASSO is having problem too Employee's checks are bouncing, creditors are knocking down the door to get paid. Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough, you both should go back to school and learn how to run a business. It's the same story with every business Blaine or Adam are in control of, they pay themselves first far more them either of them a worth. Many times Blaine has been charged with nonpayment of employee wages. This just goes to show that even though Adam Drybrough is the director of these companies he is not the one controlling them, Blaine is pulling the strings Adam is just a willing puppet.

Flatiron Closed
Flatiron is now closed. Chaisso just about done. I know landlords are aware of what Lucid is all about and leases will be cancelled next late payment. Blaine and Adam are holed up in a seedy little office on Mac Tr. Stopped by in the middle of a busness day. Office locked up and windows covered up with cheap Walmart virtical blinds. No Lucid sign or any indication of who is in this crappy little office. Rumor has it they are still trying to scam people with property developments. The ASC is getting close to coming out with charges against these two criminals. I have heard Blaine is planning his exit to Las Vegas leaving poor Adam holding the bag. That was Blaine's plan all along.

Lucid Group of Companies Website
The Lucid Group of Companies website should be updated. All property devopments are either in bankcruptcy or foreclosure. The Luxury Restaurant Group now consists of 2 soon to be closed Chaissos. There is no such thing as Lucid Executive Suites. Essentially everything on the website is false representation. The company is involved in dozens of lawsuits from those who have not been paid which pretty much includes everyone they have ever dealt with. They are not cooperating with the bankcrupcy receiver because both Adam Drybrough and Blaine Kennedy know that once the accounting and bank records are closely examined the extent of Lucids fraudulent activities will be uncovered. How does $40M - $50M of investor funds simply vanish? Of course some cash went to keeping the Ponzi scheme going but like all Ponzis they eventually collapse. Investors will ultimately end up with almost nothing.

New Supplier Liens
L2 Contructors Inc. / The Lucid Group of Companies have already run up over $27K in unpaid bills and liens are against the project. This is just the tip of the iceburg if this project continues. Someone should contact the City of Calgary and have the and see if the building permit can be pulled in order to protect unsuspecting contractors.

We were scammed out of thousands. They use to lease the office across the hall, we quite liked them and trusted them. We invested in Lucidmedia and we invested in a group called "Shopplex" which in turn invested in Teilhard Technology. I contacted Teilhard and they let me know that the shares were cashed by Adam. Scammed we were. I have been praying that one day their actions would catch up with them and I'm pleased to have found this forum. Adam is a spoiled rich kid and Blaine is truly evil!
