Any new updates on these fraudsters?
My update to everyone interested is currently Lucid is being sued by the owners of the Hotel in Ft Mac, they never paid the fricken people their money and none of the investors who they lied to, the lawyer for the 1st and 2nd mortgagee (the original owners) is trying his best to get the courts to put the hotel up for sale but of course Blaine is trying to buy more time by again lying and saying he has a potential new investor (yea right), but the bond holder have also asked for addtional time to get their independent appraisal for hopefully a higher value before the judge makes his decision. It will be sold the question is at what price will it list for.......
Meanwhile Blaine and that peice of shit Adam, is still running the Flat Iron in the NE Calgary, in fact I last heard adam was in the Carribean on a vacation (i wonder who's money is funding that)....

Belle Starr Development Permit
The city granted 1484075 Alberta Ltd (sole director B.R. Kennedy) a development permit DP2011-3501 October 2011 1126 17 AVE SW CALGARY. How can the city grant a building permit to a company controlled by someone involved in multiple lawsuits and who had such a shady history. If you are a Lucid investor or just a concerned citizen please contact the city to complain about this. Contact your alderman. I have no idea where the money is coming from for this development but I suspect the cash is coming from investors in other failed Lucid projects. The Lucid fraud continues!

Hopefully the government is throwing these types of fraudsters in jail by then, as investors are soon going to be demanding that these sorts should be severely punished and do time. The ASC is involved in a ongoing investigation of Lucid. Very serious charges are coming. A group of investors have also hired a private investigator to help support a civil case personally against Adam Drybrough and Blaine Kennedy. The crooks have funnelled investor monies somewhere?

Whoever is keeping up the posts on Lucid Group of Companies fraud is doing a great job. Thank you - saved me a lot of time! I too fell into the pattern of not getting paid by Adam Drybrough and Blaine Kennedy and while I don't expect to see it back myself, I hope that:
1) They are brought to justice for the money they have un-ethically taken from others
2) The bleeding stops and their are no further victims of their behaviour
The more 'real' posts the better - Links to the news, Grant Thornton, unpaid employees, etc. You've done a great job with exposure. Twitter is probably a key ticket, because if you've ever met Adam Drybrough, you know that unlike Blaine Kennedy he has a lot of charismatic appeal that hides the shady undertones of his business dealings. I am very surprised by the apparent naivety of those who converse with him regularly. He's 'a really nice guy', unless he's talked you out of (or owes you) $10k or more. Just keep it real, avoid slander, however true it may be. Adam is good with systems and loopholes and the truer to the law our campaign is, the better it will bring him to justice.
If this is true, about Belle Star Saloon, I hope contractors are googling it and finding this info before they become involved because the track record shows they will not be paid for their work. For example, check out the Lucid Barlow Commercial Bankruptcy the Grant Thornton website and note unpaid contractors and the amounts. Don't fall into the same trap.
Calgary Stampede has always been a big deal for Lucid Group of Companies / Lux Restaurants. I really hope they're not doing chuckwagons again this year, but wouldn't be surprised.

The City is also looking at the development permit given Lucid companies have hundreds of thousands in unpaid property taxes, hopefully it will be revolked. Investors contact the city to complain about this DP, put the pressure on the City.

Ramsay Property For Sale FRAUD
The Ramsay property is up for sale. Investors likely to get virtually nothing back. This was Blaine Kennedy and Adam Drybrough plan all along. Pocket as much money as they could, spend as little as possible to keep the Ponzi going for a year or so and then walk away from the property riddled with tax and builders leins. Coyote Ugly Saloon (CUS) Fraud
Adam Drybrough and Blaine Kennedy were promoting their upcoming Coyote Ugly franchise at last year's Stampede. They shared a chuck tarp with YaYa Calgary, another Lucid scam. Kennedy incorporated CUS Operations (Calgary) Ltd. Coyote Ugly almost gave them a franchise but found out about Lucid's fraudulent antics. So now the fraudstars they are trying to move forward with a Coyote Ugly copycat.

We did some work for Belle Starr and have'nt been paid yet.Since we did the job about two months ago we tried contacting Adam to find out if they would be sending a check soon and he does'nt return calls.That's when I googled his name and discovered that he is quite the con artist.I guess I will need to contact a lawyer and hopefully get some money out of them.

How these guys continue to operate is amazing. I guess when you have a total lack of respect for people, the law, the regulators, you can pretty much act with impunity.
Where did all the investors money go? Lucid raised over $34 Million dollars in 30 months, they screwed so many people over, didn't pay contractors, finalize transactions, honour obligations, pay staff etc. Why has the RCMP fraud squad not gotten involved, why has the ASC not put the hammer down on these crooks, why does the City of Calgary still give them development permits when they owe hundreds of thousands in back taxes. How can they totally ignore requests by the courts pertaining to their financial records for the trustees in the bankruptcies and not be in jail for contempt. Where did the money come from to open the Chiasso coffee shops? They did not raise the money from investors and nowhere in any of their Offering Memorandums did it state they could use investors funds for coffee shops. Where did the money come from last year to start YaYa Calgary? Where did the money come from last year to sponsor Kelly Sutherland's chuck Wagon team at Stampede? Where did the money come from to open Kaynes sports bar on 17th Ave west? Money was never raised from investors. Where did the $2 million go that was raised for Gregoire Estates near Fort McMurray? Money came from investors, nothing ever built, investors ignored for years. Where did the $3 million go from the American Vacation rental fund? Money came from investors, not one single home purchased for the fund.
Where did the $3 million go that was raised for the Meadow lake hotel? Money came from investors, original owner was not paid in full, contractors were not paid and taxes were not paid. Where did the $16 million go for Fort McMurray RV park? Original owner was not paid in full and only a few million was paid for the property. Contractors were not paid. In their presentations Adam stated they had over 100 RV lots rented out every month at $1000 per month, where did those funds go???? $5 million raised for the Fort McMurray hotel, contractors not paid. Original owner not fully paid. $8 million raised for Flat Iron restaurant, now bankrupt. $5 million raised from investors for Lucid Square, contractors not paid, taxes not paid. They both spent thousands frequenting bars and restaurants with their entourage.
It will be interesting to watch this play out. All I can say right now is that it looks like shady dealings, broken contracts, threats of litigation from them and crooked business deals does pay off.

Yes it is truly amazing these guys have not faced any serious consequenses yet for blatent premeditated fraud. It is clear they never had any intention of developing properties and funnelled investors cash into restraunts, bars, coffee shops and other money losing ventures. Also, Adam Drybrough hired a lot of his "friends" as VPs and senior management for Lucid's various failed ventures. That is where a lot of money went. What is most amazing is they think everyone will just forget about it all and they can continue to move forward with new ventures like the Belle Starr Saloon. I truly believe serious consequences are coming soon for these guys and they will have to answer to the law. Too late for investors as they have squandered most investor cash. I am looking forward to the day when it really all crashes down on these fraudsters.

Dont believe a word Adam Drybrough says.
I have been trying to contact Adam but since his cell phone seems to be broken I thought I would start phoning the Lucid group office.I was told they dont have an accountant that works there and then after numerous calls and many different secretaries answering the phones one of them admitted that they are actually a phone service and they dont actually work on site.The person also admitted that calls like mine were a regular occurance.Strange for a company that is supposed to make 60 million a year,I know people that work from their garage that run a company better than these clowns but I guess it's because they are'nt crooks like Adam Drybrough and Blain Kennedy are.
Does anybody have other phone numbers other than 998-0173 and 681-8910.(a home number would be nice.)Maybe we need to disrupt the other companies they run by phoning them constantly until we get a call back.
